Yeah, I like those shoes, but I saw some preppy girl that prolly has no idea who JOhn Lennon is and what he stood for wearing those shoes, so I decided not to get them. And canvas stains easily, lol

Too cheesy and obvious and owned by Nike so am very surprised his name has been allowed to be used fo a company like that considering all that he stood for.

Aww, who cares, really. I think they're cool, and if they weren't off-white, but an actual bright white, I'd get them. I don't want to spend $60 on cream-colored shoes. There are some Yellow Submarine shoes that come in white and black, and I was thinking about getting the white ones.

I bet almost everyone here has Beatles/solo clothing, and I bet a lot of it is produced by "the evil coporate giant," even if it doesn't say so expressly on the tag. Those "evil giant companies" own everything, so if you want to escape their textiles, I'm afraid you're going to have to make your own clothes from your own patterns.

John would have cared.

Perhaps. Perhaps not. John was a clotheshorse, and I think it's pretty well known that he didn't mind making money. For his name and likeness to be used, Yoko had to have given her permission, so I think the shoes are okay. She must not have felt John would've cared, because I truly believe that she acts only in John's best interests.

I saw them in the Fest for Beatles Fans winter catalogue, but they're also on the website http://www.thefestforbeatlesfans.com...e_Code=thefest under the "Ben Sherman Clothing Line"
Good luck!

Sorry, I would not buy any John Lennon or Beatles shoes. I'll stick with T-shirts.

Oh man everyone here is so negative! I like the John Lennon shoes. I don't have to approve of Nike's shoe-making techniques in order to like the shoes. I don't have to wonder whether John would have supported these alleged shoe-making techniques in order to like the shoes. I don't even have to wonder whether I myself would buy the shoes in order to like the shoes.

I like the shoes.

I want some Lennon high tops...! My friend has a pair of these and he's proud of 'em... struttin' around with his ultra-cool sneakers. I like how on the inside tounge's label has PEACE inscribed in several languages
You know what, I'd get those Yellow Submarine shoes in a heartbeat! But I limit my shopping online...
