Default best/worst covers?

I'm pretty sure this subject has already been brought up, but I would like to know the covers of Beatle songs you love *and the ones you hate *. I have no idea just know what my favourite cover is, but one thing is for sure, I wouldn't say 'Help' by the Bananaramas!

well, i know its obvious, but:

love:
joe cocker - with a little help from my friends
Joe Cocker - she came in through the bathroom window
Aerosmith - i'm down
Aerosmith - Come Together
Aerosmith - Helter Skelter

Hate:
William Shatner - Lucy in the Sky with daimonds (does he think he can sing or something???)

actually, most beatles covers i hate because they're never as good as the original, of course. but those that i listed as love are really the only ones i've heard so far that pass my rigerous standards!

Ironicly, my favorite cover and the cover I loathe the most are from the same movie, "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band".

"Come Together" (Aerosmith)
"Got To Get You Into My Life" (Earth, Wind & Fire)

BTW, I'm going to move this topic to And Your Bird Can Sing. We are discussing Beatles songs anyway.

Never heard William Shatner's version. Quite curious to know what it sounds like, however bad it does, hehe.

Rickie Lee Jones does a beautiful sentimental version of "For No One".

<font size="2" face="Tahoma, Arial, sans-serif">I remember running across a site that had a clip of Shatner's version. It's really bad. If I can find it again, I'll post the link here.

Very few covers add anything to the original, and quite a few are vastly inferior, but still, I don't blame anyone for wanting to sing/play great songs!

My favourites:
The Freshmen ~ Yesterday (brilliant vocal harmonies, no words);
Rufus Wainwright ~ Across The Universe;
The Conquerors ~ You're Going To Lose That Girl;
Aimee Mann/Michael Penn ~ Two Of Us

Absolute WORST:
Grandaddy ~ Revolution;
The Dixies ~ All Together Now;
Nick Cave ~ Let It Be;
Mrs. Mills ~ (I'm sure she murdered at least one song!)
