Rare early BBC interviews
Sometimes their interviews are broadcasted on radio stations; I heard these recently on the CD The Beatles: On Air- Live at the BBC Volume 2. During the interviews, Paul stated a fear of airplanes, George expressed regret in dropping out of school, and Ringo stated due to tight finances as a child, he didn’t ask his mom for much. In addition, John expressed Julian’s future education. He stated he did not favor public schools at that time, due to the classism in the institutions. He favored the French schools in England since they were prone to diversity; or maybe he meant schools in France. Furthermore, George also stated his favorite teacher in HS was his art teacher since he was the only instructor that was open minded. Finally, John expressed a desire to have more kids with Cyn. I read that in a Beatle biography years ago, but Cynthia was tired of his philandering and drug use. Not to mention, the book stated she sensed his growing feelings for Yoko. It’s kinda sad, they made a cute couple back in the day, and you have to wonder what might have been. I really liked the interviews; the subject matter wasn’t the same repetitive stuff you hear in vintage clips.
