If I list all of my favourites, I will surely be here for many minutes indeed, so I shall stick to a handful.

- "And if I say I really loved you and was glad you came along, then you are here today, (insert ooohs here) for you are in my song."

- "Sweet Loretta Martin thought she was a woman, but she was another man."

- "Sunday morning creeping like a nun"

- "Sit beside a mountain stream, see her waters rise, listen to the pretty sound of music as she flies" and "Swaying daises sing a lazy song beneath the sun."

- "Any jobber got the sack, Monday morning turning back, yellow lorry slow, nowhere to go."

- "Well the rain exploded with a mighty crash as we fell into the sun."

- "It was written that I would love you from the moment I opened my eyes."
It is absurd to divide people into good and bad. People are either charming or tedious.
- Oscar Wilde

Doesn't that just say it all for big changes that happen in your life? And I've always thought it speaks volumes for how Paul felt during the end of the Beatles. That's probably just my little idea, but I'll go on keeping it. ;)
I absolutely LOVE those lyrics, you've explained my love for it brilliantly.... that's why it's my username!

The lines to "Things We Said Today," "And I Love Her" and all of his beautiful love songs. I think Paul wrote and sang the world's best love songs.

Paul's touching tribute to "his baby brother George" when George died. That might make you

Paul's loving comments about Linda, Heather and their children

Paul's hilariously bad rendition of "A Hard Day's Night" and his error in lyrics at the Super Bowl this year. That was funny!

"If you've lost him, I'll cripple ya!" that was funny.

"he's nursing a broken heart," about that clean old man in AHDN.

Paul introducing the songs when the Beatles were performing. I love it when it was June 1965 and the Beatles were in Paris and Paul introduced "Can't Buy Me Love" in French.

Paul in interviews. He interviews extraordinarily well and I find him very interesting to listen to.
With a love like that, you know you should be glad, yeah, yeah, yeah!-- Beatles, 1963

If I seem to act unkind, it's only me, it's not my mind. -- George Harrison, 1966

I know Calico Skies was mentioned, but I really like the line, "I will hold you for as long as you like. I will love you for the rest of my life." Ahh...romance!

Sometimes, the most simple lines are the best.

Talking Gosh...

Ok, if I have to pick one and one alone...

"The wild and windy night that the rain washed away,
has left a pool of tears crying for the day."

That's just... poetry, man... (Sniff, sniff). Lovely.

As for spoken quotes, there's one quote from an interview that always makes me scream with laughter:

Repoter: This is adressed to Mrrs. lennon and McCartney, there's an article of the Times that reported "Day Tripper" as being about a prostitute and "Norwegian Wood" being about a Lesbian. Could you tell me what your intent was on writing these songs and what you think about the Times thoughts on music today?

Paul: We were just trying to write songs about prostitutes and lesbians, that's all....

HAHAHAHAHAAAAA!! that's always funny to me! What a smart arse!
"Sitting with me in the studio tonite is cross-section of British youth."
"Meanwhile, high in the Swiss Alps, two elderly Scotsmen munch on a rare cheese..."

I really like the lyrics to "Fixing a Hole" but the ones that stand out the most to me in that song, it

"And it really doesn't matter if I'm wrong, I'm right.
Where I belong, I'm right
Where I belong"

and all of the lyrics to this song....

"And if I say I really knew you well
What would your answer be.
If you were here today.
Ooh- ooh- ooh- here to - day.

Well knowing you,
You’d probably laugh and say that we were worlds apart.
If you were here today.
Ooh- ooh- ooh- here to - day.

But as for me,
I still remember how it was before.
And I am holding back the tears no more.
Ooh- ooh- ooh- I love you, ooh-

What about the time we met,
Well I suppose that you could say that we were playing hard to get.
Didn’t understand a thing.
But we could always sing.

What about the night we cried,
Because there wasn’t any reason left to keep it all inside.
Never understood a word.
But you were always there with a smile.

And if I say I really loved you
And was glad you came along.

If you were here today.
Ooh- ooh- ooh- for you were in my song."
Reporter: "The French have not made up their minds about the Beatles. What do you think of them?"
John: "Oh, we like the Beatles. They're gear."

"I'm not the Beatles. I'm me. Paul isn't the Beatles...The Beatles are the Beatles. Separately, they are separate." -John Lennon

*"I wanna tell her that I love her a lot, but I've gotta get a bellyfull of wine."
*"For tomorrow may rain so I'll follow the sun."
*"And in her eyes you see nothing, no sign of love behind the tears cried for no one."
*"I want you to lie on the bed, get you ready for my polygon."
*"Oh, I believe in yesterday."
For tomorrow may rain, so I'll follow the sun
