GEORGE HARRISON’s cousin is hoping for Beatles-style success

GEORGE HARRISON’s cousin is hoping for Beatles-style success in The X Factor finals. Daniel Morris, 17, of Liverpool band Eton Road is hoping the group will become a new Fab Four when the knock-out stages begin on Saturday.
The student told us: “I’m very distantly related to George Harrison - he’s a second or third cousin as I think my nan’s brother or cousin was related to him. I just hope some of his success rubs off on us.”
Daniel and the rest of the quartet - David Heath, James Edwards and Anthony Hannah - can't wait to perform live this weekend as they bid to win a £1m record deal.
Daniel said: "It's what you dream of and as you grow older you want it even more." James added: "It would be fantastic to win. We'd all buy houses for our families if that happened."
Eton Road aren’t the only act in the show with celebrity links. Olympic gold medallist Tessa Sanderson is the aunt of 4Sure’s Jermaine Sanderson and he hopes she’ll be cheering him on in the studio this Saturday.
Ashley McKenzie also comes from a sporty family – his uncles are boxers Clinton and Duke McKenzie and his cousin Lewis Grabban plays for Oldham Athletic.
Bookies Paddy Power have made Londoner Leona Lewis, 21, Ben Mills, 26, and Ray Quinn, 18, the early joint favourites to win the show.

They're not a bad little act, actually.
Not that I'm watching the X Factor or anything....

They are not bad. You know who would probably know
more about Daniel? Pat Kinzer Mancuso - she actually
knew the Harrison family personally and was friendly
with one of George's maternal cousins.
Which one of those dudes was allegedly George's
cousin?

They are a pile of crap just like everything that comes through the X Factor or that Simon Cowell touches.

An opening act for a concert in El Paso Tx, mid-70's, featured a lead guitarist who was billed as George's cousin. My best recollection is they may have opened for Grand Funk Railroad. I recall he had this interesting way of swinging his right leg when he came out front for solo. If you saw it you'd understand. Anybody have any ideas who this might have been?

A few years ago, a man named Bowvayne (ne Andrew) claimed to be George's son. In today's world DNA evidence can prove or disprove his claim.
It's not uncommon for people to claim to be related to high profile people, like the man who in 2008 claimed to be President Kennedy's son. DNA evidence ruled out any possibility of that. In other words, the dude was not even remotely related to the late president. With any such claims, reserve judgment until the evidence is in.
