Default Ringo on Guitar and/or Piano

I watched the video for "It Don't Come Easy" this morning and realized you very seldom see Ringo playing a guitar as he does here. (Perhaps my video collection is just small.) How often does he play other instruments besides drums? Do you think the general public might respect him more if they knew he can play basic guitar and piano?

Ringo plays guitar quite a bit actually, not a ton in concert, but on his albums he does help out as far as the guitar and piano bits go.

In Let It Be, you see Ringo tickling the ivories more than once. The little ditty with Paul, and then later with George. I had no idea either that Ringo could play other instruments either until then. There's more to him than meets the eye.

The only time I've seen Ringo playing the guitar is on Help! movie.
But of course I doubt he was really playing it.
I think John tried to teach him but I don't know what happened in the end.

I know I've got a pic of Ringo playin' the piano around here somewhere... but at least I've got this blurry pic of him resting on one.

And here's one of him playing guitar (can't say I approve of the hair, though...oh well).

If you want to see him playing piano you should watch Let it be.

He's playing "Piano Man" beside Paul and he did it very well.

Kelly, I think you can guess from your posts that Tripod. com does not allow hyperlinks to sites. They are but a few that still do this.

in the Anthology he said when play guitar, he play guitar when compussed Octopuss Garden, in the boat when the capitain says about the octopuss shearch traesures who seem`s like a garden or some.

and so play the guitar when in 1964 given guitars Ramirez at all four Beatles

Piano in the photos taken when in the SGT Pepper sessions, and the movie Let It Be in the Erly tak of Octopuss Garden

Hi everybody!!

I'm from Spain and this is my 1st message here. Please, excuse my poor English language...

I gave a conference at Ramírez Guitars workshop in Madrid recently with the topic Beatles Spanish Guitars. I have been working in this subject for a long time and I have collected many sources but the subject is still far from finished.

If you know of pictures and/or any kind of information of The Beatles playing and/or holding any Spanish guitar, please let me know...

BTW: those guitars given to The Beatles were not Ramírez but Russian made ones. The only known Ramírez guitar so far known in any of The Beatles hands is the one played by George in 'And I Love Her' sequence for A Hard Day's Night, where the blue round label of Ramírez 'instrumentos para rondalla' is clearly seen.

I have found more info regarding this guitar, but I still need more ibformation. That is why I ask for your help...

Thank you in advance and best wishes!!

Xosé

I wish I could watch "Let It Be" (not just to see Ringo playing the piano but because I've never seen it!) but it's been deleted in the UK for so long on video, and I doubt it'll ever be released on DVD. :(

Could Ringo do a concert playing guitar or piano? Was he a pedestrian at best player of these instruments?

I read that Elsie played piano. We know now where Ringo inherited his musical muse.
