Default *Finally* made it home...

Hi! I'm back in Illinois! I finally made it home on Saturday night. The ride was good most of the way. However, when we got home, I realized I accidently left my purse at a Wendy's in Lebanon, Indiana. That is three hours from where I live in Illinois. My purse had everything in it (cards, checkbook, ssn, I.D.'s, my monocular (which was the most important thing--without it I'm really "blind.") So, after the shock of realizing my purse was gone, my mom told me to call the Wendy's and see if they still had it. I did that and they still had it. What I didn't know was that if everything was still inside. They would not send it to us because they didn't want to be responsible if anything did happen. So, the next day (yesterday actually), after drive 10 hours the day before, my mom and I set out for Lebanon, Indiana. We got there three hours later and got the purse back. Everything was in it (Thank God!) and drove back home for another three hours. When my mom spoke to my sister on the phone in the car on the way to Lebanon, IN, my sister asked, "Did you (my mom) yell at her (me) all the way there?" My mom said, "No, she yelled at herself the night before...I didn't have to." She was right, I was so mad at myself for doing something soooo stupid, but I'm very lucky I got everything back. I didn't have to cancel anything or buy a new monocular.
Well, it's good to be back home. The only thing is is that we don't have air conditioning. (It hadn't been invented yet for houses in the 1940s--that's when our house was built). Thank God I'm only going to be home for two weeks. I'm sitting in the heat now...good thing we have a pool in our backyard. I'm going to go swimming today. I can't wait till Beatlefest! Looking forward to meeting you all? Have we officially decided on a place to meet?
All You Need Is Love,
Kristi

Whew! Thank goodness they still had your stuff, Kristi! What a pain to have to make the trip back, but at least you don't have to go through the hassle and expense of getting all your stuff replaced!

I only have air conditioning in my bedroom, so I can relate! It's been really hot around here the last couple of weeks!

I don't think we have a set time/place to meet yet, but I'm sure we'll come up with something in the next week and a half! Looking forward to meeting you!

Wow, thanks for all the 'welcome backs!' I didn't realize I was *that* missed around here! Sorry, I haven't posted in a while. I just got back to school today (after having a blast at Beatlefest!--will tell about that later).
Oh, JC, I did get your e-mail. Sorry, its taking me so long to respond. I will respond to your e-mail sometime this week, after I get settled into my class schedule and such.
Hope everyone here is doing well .

I am.

Have a good school year.

Apr 16 1990 - George appears in Jim Capaldi's video for ‘Oh Lord, Why Lord.' George had done backup for the same song on Capaldi's album ‘Some Come Running.' The video was the only promo video shown at the Nelson Mandela concert at Wembley.
