Default Let It Be - The Film

How about a copy of the film Let It Be? I've seen it being offered for about 7-8 over here, and I'd really like a copy, but it's a pirate. Has anyone got a copy they could sell/give to me?

I've got the film. It was widely available over here about 10 or 15 years ago. I used to rent it once in awhile. Then it just disappeared. There were always rumors that they were going to re-release it, but nothing ever happened. So I just gave in and bought a pirated copy. I also have about an hour of unreleased video from the Get Back sessions. Pretty cool stuff. Oh yeah, I also have a series of videos made for the individual songs. It's different from the film in many places - just different camera angles and stuff. You have to remember that everything was filmed on audio and video - something like 200 hours of tape! Actually, the Get Back sessions are one of my specialties. I calculated once - I think I have something like 30 hours of unreleased recordings from the sessions. There's a lot of crap in there of course, but you'd be amazed at how awesome they sounded when they got their act together.

If you go on ebay, you can usually get a copy of the video for between 25 and 60 dollars. I heard it was being officially released this year so I have been holding out but have not heard it again. At the 1999 Beatlefest in Meadowlands, New Jersey, Martin Lewis was asked why it is not available and he replied that one of the remaining Beatles was a holdout for giving the ok for release. He wouldn't say who but he did say to write to George if you want to ask about it.

Back in high school, I met this guy who sold just Beatles bootlegs. He was like my supplier for the next 10 years. There's also a good swap meet out here that has rows and rows of these dudes just selling the stuff.

The English eqlivilent of eBay is at www.ebay.co.uk where everything is in pounds, and is in the UK. Almost as good, but not as.

THIS IS NOT GOOD!!!!!
I've already lost my parents their home. . .

Seriously, this is good! I tried to get an original She Loves You record for 12, but got out-bid. Still might get I Feel Fine Though.
The only thing is, there doesn't seem to be any bootlegs here?

I think eBay discourages the selling of bootlegs on their sites. They actively monitor their auctions, and when they find anything illegal being sold, they usually just take it offline.

Thanks for that!
I'm just desperate to get some bootlegs while I have the money. Keep searching dodgy shops I guess. If there was a web-site, that would be good.

You have to keep checking the auctions like ebay. They will turn up. I often see cd's from "Yellow Dog". I guess you could call that bootleg. cd's of rare or alternate tracks.I've seen rooftop concert, alternate white album, revolver, rubber soul, etc.

I won a bid for an original "I Feel Fine" record for only 3.70 which is about $6.50!
I'm looking for any bootlegs really!

I saw the Let It Be video for 25/$50. I just have to resist the temptation.

No I didn't get it
I would have, only I don't have the financial backing. I guess I'll have to wait till next time.
Oh but I saw some BRILLIANT Epiphone guitars on the American ebay site!!!! And they were so cheap. I'd have bid for one, only they didn't want to ship abroad. I don't mean literally ship a broad. . . I mean to a far away country such as England.
The guitars were BARGAINS though!
