Default Sad Beatles Songs???

Hello everyone... i hope this is the right place for this post?

Anyway, since i'm obsessed with the Beatles, i listen to their songs in every mood that i'm in, happy, tired, etc... Though lately I've noticed that when I'm depressed or sad, all the Beatles songs seem a little to upbeat for me... Sniffle... So i was wondering what everyone considers to be the sadder feeling beatles songs... you know, ones that are quiet or slow (or maybe not) but just have a general sadder feel to them rather than the upbeat ones.

Anyway, i would LOVE to hear your opinions!!!

I don't know why you'd want to wallow in sadness, PL but two sprang to mind. "For No One" and "Eleanor Rigby".

Well In my opinion these songs are sad:
The long and winding road
In my life
Golden slumbers
strawberry fields forever
I me mine
While my guitar gently weeps
Yer blues

In My Life sometimes makes me kinda sad. Hey Jude and Golden Slumbers do that a little as well. Long and Winding Road depresses me so much I cant listen to it. I'm not saying it's a bad song, it just makes me so depressed....

Things We Said Today contains such musical melancholy that can be found on some latino tunes, like Mexican or Argentinian songs.

Both Sgt.Pepper and Let It Be albums are very sad for me. But I believe it's because they are my rainy day bus ride albums, and I have been accustomed to that setting.
But..
But by far, if you want to be in a sad mood after, listen to Beautiful Boy. I always end up crying.

Anything George's is now sad... But if you are sad, listen to "Blown Away"

"Long & Winding Road" is especially sentimental, and Spector's orchestration really packs the punch. "In My Life" is also a sentimental favorite. They both have been played at alot of funerals these past few years, and they are so poignant, it's almost as if everything stands still when they are played.

The acoustic version of While My Guitar Gently Weeps always makes me sort of sad.

For No One
She's leaving home
The Long And Winding Road
I'm looking through you

I can see why my parents always complain about it being 'depressing'
but I still listen to them :)

The Long and Winding Road is, to me, far and away the saddest song. Especially when placed in the context of what was going on with the boys at the time and the impending break.

Almost everyone has said "For No One," and I have to agree. There are a lot of melancholy Beatles songs, but to me that one is the clear sadness standout.

Today George Martin's sublime (IMO) "Love" arrangement of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" made me cry. George sounds exquisite on that, and the line about him watching from the wings? Oh, it was all too much.

Cheating a bit, "Here Today" and "Jealous Guy" almost never fail to bring the tears.

A lot of people have mentioned "Let It Be," but that one always brings me round and helps me feel peaceful when I get a little down.

Has 'Baby's In Black' been mentioned?
I find that the Beatles For Sale album generally has a very bleak tone with 'I'm A Loser', 'No reply', 'I Don't Want To Spoil The Party' as well as 'BIB' offering little to be cheerful about.
Even the cover photo shows our heroes looking weary and miserable!

Let It Be is kinda sad. So is In My Life. Yesterday is kinda sad too. Long and Winding Road to me is like borderline depressing, which is why I wont listen to it.
