Default NOW AND THEN Finished! New Beatle single!

NOW AND THEN Finished! New Beatle single!

I saw this on the George Harrison Forum. Is this true?! Can anyone confirm this? Could this be the 45th and mystery song in The Beatles: Rock band game? From whobeatle on the GH Forum:

http://www.georgeharrison.com/board/...hp?f=6&t=15612

NOW AND THEN Finished! New Beatle single!

by whobeatle on Sun Jul 26, 2009 1:15 am

Numerous reports all over the world last week claimed the Beatle reunion song
NOW AND THEN based on a Lennon demo had been finished.

THat report is TRUE---All four Beatles appear on the track. George as I understand it
plays at least one guitar part and sings back up.

Ringo of course plays drums

JOhn Lennon plays piano and sings lead

Paul McCartney plays several instruments and sings harmony, possibly lead or colead
vocals in certain sections of the song...Possibly new sections were written by McCartney
to flesh out the song a little...Though it was originally a Lennon song...It is unclear whether
Paul actually wrote some additional lyrics or added a musical bridge or something.

ACCORDING TO MY SOURCES "The record sounds very BEATLEY"

NO DOUBT WHATSOEVER PAul McCartney went in for several recording , and editing sessions
over the last two or three years and finished the song... More work had been done in the nineties
by the THREETLES than had been acknowledged. The reports how the THREETLES had just messed around
with NOW AND THEN for an afternoon were totally misleading and false. Perhaps the other new song ALL FOR LOVE
was only worked on for a couple of days. Now and Then was worked on by George Paul and RIngo quite a bit...But
Paul still had to do a lot of additional work to get it releasable...McCartney wants the record out badly..Thats a fact

OKAY--The part how the song is about to see an imminent release--THAT Is FALSE so far as I know

I HOPE TO GOD THE SONG COMES OUT THIS YEAR AS PART OF THE BEATLE REMASTER PROGRAM
but no one has said that to me, that knows what they are talking about

SMART MONEY SAYS THE HOLD UP IS THAT THE BEATLES HAVE NOT INKED A DEAL FOR DOWNLOADS
WHEN WE SEE DOWNLOADS WE WILL SEE THE LAST NEW BEATLE SINGLE IN HISTORY
NO WONDER THE BEATLES ARE PLAYING HARDBALL WITH THE DOWNLOAD PROVIDERS! INCLUDED
IN THE DOWNLOAD DEAL IS A BRAND NEW BEATLE SONG HOLY SMOKES

THE MYSTERY IS WHEN CAN WE HEAR NOW AND THEN! ---THE MYSTERY IS NOT IS THEIR A FINISHED
BEATLE SONG IN THE CAN CALLED NOW AND THEN

It has been verified by the highest possible sources that its true NOW AND THEN IS FINISHED IN THE CAN

the damm mystery is why the heck don't they put out the freaking song!

My sources tell me it has been finished on the shelf since at least 2008.

Whobeatle has posted this type of things already here as well.

Well I very much hope he is right, I was playing REAL LOVE and FREE AS A BIRD the past days and saw the footage of the guys in the studio again and it is just fabulous.

So I hope his mistery will appear to be true and it is great to hear that it sounds Beatley.

Default Good news bad news!

It's looking like the song wont be on Rockband as I hoped.

HOwever we have to wait until 9-9-9 and see If ITUNES announces
the Beatles coming to ITUNES---if they do--and I think the chances
are good(Fingers crossed) I think we will also learn on that day or
shortly thereafter that NOW AND THEN will be some sort of single or
Bonus track, certainly before Christmas if not on 9-9-9-

ITUNES Or some type of download service has always been the natural
vehicle to release NOW AND THEN--I suppose it could be in a movie or
a Anthology four or something else...BUT I WAS ALWAYS TOLD The plan
under consideration was to use it as some sort of download bonus /single
perhaps along with other songs like Carnival of light and Granny Smith

The song is done thats absolute! So there must be a plan to put it out

I think this current Beatles massive release is the natural time to do it with the remasters and the Rockband game--IF ITUNES announces on 9-9-9

If they dont the Beatles will have to create some other download service of their own...Or keep negotiating with ITUNES

The money to be made off downloads this year is huge huge huge--to skip it is to leave a half billion or a billion on the table--I cant see them doing that
I expect Itunes beatles announced 9-9-9-

If not how can they release the song without wasting it ? Well they would have to wait for some new project a couple or three years down the road

My patience is thin! I know the song is done I know McCartney wants it out!
badly! expect to learn of it on or around 9-9-9-

If not I wash my hands of the whole band! Getting me to buy that same old stuff and not offering a brand new track when they have it sitting there ready to go ?????

They would have to be incredibly selfish to have a brand new Beatle song ready to go and do this massive program and not release it to huge fanfare and hoopla

I fully expect to learn in one week...If I am wrong I have no answer except they are deliberatly holding it back for some other program down the road. WHich in my view would make them very bad nasty people!

The song is done ladiees and gentleman they need an Itunes type vehicle to release it as some kind of bonus track--fingers crossed expect it one week from today

Default new revelations

This time people are saying part of Carnival of Light is on one of the
mini docs that accompany each album..

Now and Then is real and it is finished. The logical time to learn about it would be around 9-9-9- I think.

hold fast fingers crossed deep breath

everybody get one!

What we are talking about is seeing this stuff as exclusive ITUNES bonus track content.Perhaps also releasesed in years to come on some sort of album.

I among others speculated that Now and THen and or other rare tracks might appear on the game as well..

So far the only rarity we know of on the game is the Beatles Christmas record

there could be more who knows

a new story popped up today that a portion of Carnival of Light will appear on one of the mini docs that comes with each remastered album

The surprise song 45 turns out to have been a totally misleading statement made by the rockband guy...its just another song from abbeyroad apparently the rockband guy who said there was a surprise song is just a piece of%$^*
apparently! exuse my symbols! Surprise song my rear!

What was on Yoko's youtube?

Now and then ? the piano demo or the fake recording?

was that Yoko's official page or some fan page ?

That could be an important clue!

I would think if that was Yoko's official Youtube and they pulled Johns demo that would be a clue the record could be coming on the ninth

Apple's (Itunes) announcement on 09-09-09 will be about a new Ipod only, and it will not be Beatle related.

I got that from a good source.

I kinda giggle when I read that a Beatles FAN needs a very reliable - unnamed - source to announce that Now And Then sounds Beatles-ish and has George playing at least one guitar part and sings back up, Ringo even to everyone's surprise plays drums, John plays piano and sings lead and Paul plays several instruments and sings harmony, possibly lead or colead vocals.

And will be the next single.

I find it stunning that you are allowed to call yourself a "MODERATOR"
here and make those kind of blindside attacks on people on the forum.

It's my understanding Paul McCartney has finished the Beatles recording
of NOW AND THEN. I as i have said don't have any specific knowledge of
a release schedule for the song! I can only speculate!

I will however name the sources if there is not an announcement or release regarding the song by Sept 10

and when you find out who the sources are if the song does not come out I cant wait tilll you find out who they are and call them liars!

actually there are four sources one was rather vague but said it would probably come out....The one who was vague and said it "would probably come out" that was Yoko Ono who said that to me personally actually
and then we talked about some other stuff, about a song of hers actually.
So there is one source named. Wait till you hear who the other ones are!
that were more specific!

I fully expect the song to be announced in five days and I fully expect you will say you knew it all along!

Just a word of advice when you insult someone do it directly its less impolite

as far as Legs message from high up at ITUNES That there will be no beatles announced on 9-9-9 well everybody will know the answer in five days. and look on the bright side if NOW AND THEN is not annonced in five days and I reveal the sources,, you can make something up about how they arent real sources or something

I call myself FPSHOT here.

Sorry but you announce things all the time as coming from sources as if in this case Now and Then will be the spectacular new release where you are the only one I see on the web saying this and the closer it gets to 9-9 the more escapes you come up with, so sorry that you feel offended but it is just a doubtfull story to me just like your parade about Valentine to be on Let It Roll.

But, if the next few days suddenly it will be anncounced to be a release then we will cherish it.

Actually you don't seem to be sorry about anything.Perhaps your command of English is not that good. Or maybe you are just sarcastic and insincere
who really knows or cares

You blindside people like me who wanted to be helpful and share good news and then you make some insincere sarcastic apology you and your buddy give me the creeps

AS to youre' being a moderator here, well it says right under hArrisons face on every post you make that you are a moderator. But I am sure you know that already

I just thought it was terrific news to Learn the Beatles recording of Now And Then had been finished! Just great!

everything you say is so inaccurate you really should turn that sarcasic insult thing you do and use it to examine yourself in my opinon
You said no one but me has mentioned Now And THen are you nuts?

McCartney just mentioned it in Rolling Stone a week ago while sitting in Abbey Road. THe song being finished and being prepared for release was
just in fifty newspapers from London to New York To India....Do you even have any idea what your saying when you blurt out no one but me is talking about it? Or you just dont care if anything you say is accurate and you just blurt it out anyway ?

Check your facts and get off of my cloud forever okay

THumbs up to the beatlelinks beatle fans and cheers for more info on 9-9-9-!

I am a moderator here yes, but you said I call myself a moderator, which is incorrect.

There is still a difference between someone saying NOW AND THEN is finished and YOU saying it will be the next single.

So the only news you bring is something which is not news?

If it is, fine, but sofar you are the only one saying this with these vague source comments.

Oh and about my English, well I think you could to with a spell-check and less caps. And be better at spelling George's name. George, the one often playing guitar parts and sings back ups.

I do love Now and Then though.

well again you didin't tell the truth about me or what I said. The fact that you are a moderator here is frightening enough. Who wouldn't be worried about that alone!

I asked only one thing of you I asked you to get off my cloud. But I guess lying about me or what I said is too much fun for you!

Look honestly what I thought would be fun sharing about a new Beatle song on a Beatle forum has become onerous mostly because of you and your pal so I wont be back here. I'm sure you have driven off lots of people here and will drive off plenty more until someone finally prevents you from doing it. In summary as much as I love the Beatles and talking about the new song its not worth it. One none of you are able to reciprocate with good knowledge because you don't have any ,and second when people are nice enough to give you some info you treat them like an ogre, which I suppose is what you are FPSHOT so good luck to you and your similar friends and glad to hear how much you love Now And Then.
