Revolution 1 take 20
Revolution 1 take 20 RM1 in all of its 10:46 glory is circulating the internet now. It's very cool. This is not the version with Yoko talking over it.
You can hear where many of the Revolution 9 elements originated.

The authenticity has yet to be confirmed.
I enjoyed listening to it. If this is real, it is awesome to hear. I am wondering if it is real though.

Well, EMI thinks it is real !!
I came acroos a small news blurb on Google yesterday about Revolution1 take 20 RM1 starting to spread around the internet. I quickly went to YouTube where there were 2 versions posted and listened. At first I was very skeptical, so I listened again. I then found the Rapidshare link and D/L'd the wav file. By the end of the third listening, I was pretty sure it was indeed real. But today I found this article:
http://www.gibson.com/en-us/Lifestyl...nreleased-224/
I then went back to YouTube, and both copies are gone, with a notice across the top of the resulting page that EMI had asked for it to be removed. Does anybody else think that this would be the "proof" that the cut is indeed not a modern techno fake?
It also makes me wonder if EMI has plans for the song, that would explain the appearance of such a clean version. There are lots of Beatle bootlegs on YouTube, and EMI doesn't seem to be bothered by them.

If it's a fake, then it's a brilliant one. The mix is exactly what was heard in the background of one of the tracks on the "Kinfauns to Chaos" bootleg. Plus, the length and details match was described in "The Beatles Recording Sessions". I don't know of any prominent Beatles experts who doubt its validity.

It's the one listed as Yourmothershouldknow, on the bootleg blogs and download sites topic.
Here it is for convience.
http://yourmothershouldknow03.blogspot.com/
I have all the reasons to believe it's real, not only because EMI pulled it from YouTube, but also because it turned out to be taken from a high quality bootleg label, and that it's not just something someone has put on the internet with the chance that that person has created it himself.

Gives the impression that Macca leaked it to get EMI to release Carnival!

Could be....very well could be. Macca has a rather free and open mind when it comes to Beatle boots these days...in fact, he's even stated on the record he gets a real kick out of the whole "boot" scene and the fanbase that drives it. Needless to say, it's something I would'nt put past the ol' boy, and if he didn't, he must be laughing his arse off at EMI as they go into fucking caniption fits trying to delete every upload they can find...I find it pretty funny too, considering there's no way in HELL they'll be able to find 'em all. Pity, huh?

Interesting theory about Paul leaking the track! No, he seems to be fine with the bootlegs, at least up to a point. Remember, he called his Unplugged The Official Bootleg Version!

Perhaps page two?
On the menu on the right you can click on a month,
it's been posted in February so clicking that month should bring you the bootleg containing the Revolution version.

I heard about this back when it first hit the www but up until today had never heard it.
It's pretty wild and I like it.
Sad to think that there's stuff of this quality collecting dust in a vault somewhere.
Why didn't they stick this on Anthology 3?
Seems like it would have fit in perfectly with what they were doing with the Anthology releases.

I might like take 20 better than the official version. It's absolutely fantastic! I hope we get to hear other great versions of the original songs, or maybe even new songs (!), one day.
