I find myself constantly watching the Beatles/Helen Shapiro video on YouTube ("Ready Steady Go!", 1963) because I can't get enough of how adorable it is

I can't go one day without hearing some reference to the Beatles or a Beatle member. It's weird!

Isn't it weird how our ears get attuned to hearing even the smallest passing reference to the band or one of its members?

I was channel surfing the other night, as I am apt to do, and an advertisement for Mind of Mencine (a show on Comedy Central) came on and this actor is portraying a judge who, it seems, is deciding who wins in the Paul McCartney/Heather Mills divorce. The punchline, I thought, was crude and somewhat of a low blow, but the point is, I wasn't even paying attention, but the mention of a Beatle name made me stop my surfing for a moment. (It was, afterall, just a commercial!)

Beatles music seems to serve any purpose these days.
Yesterday, I went to a police dogs demonstration, and what was the background music? Among others, panpipe versions of Let It Be, Yesterday, Hey Jude, Imagine...

The last episode of Anthology is amazing... reawakens my love for them all over again.

I'm looking forward to the US vs John Lennon. It was a nice touch for the people behind the film to reproduce the old "War is Over!-if you want it" signs. Although they were probably more concerned about making more money them making a statement against the war.

That reminds me of when I went to the Royal BC Museum. Not only do they have John's 1966 Rolls Royce in the lobby (I have a picture of me infront of it) but they were only playing Beatles hits when I was there. It was incredible because I barely hear them on the radio where I live. They get shunned on TV too, those "music channels" usually never give them a mention or play their videos.

Ah....awesome song.

After watching tons of videos of them live on youtube over the past two days, I can't help but say once again, these guys will NEVER be replaced, because they are the greatest thing that ever happened to music.
