The End of the World was pretty good, although the end was a little anti-climatic IMO. The next episode this Saturday looks a little dull, but the scary blue dead woman looks creepy!

Anti-climatic it could be, but when I heard the skin-woman (THAT was creepy!) calling the jukebox an iPod I died laughing!
What did you people think of Billie Piper in the series? Personally, I was really surprised with her performance...in a good sense, I mean.

I've never seen any of the older episodes of Dr Who but I'm really enjoying this series. Its a big shame that Christopher Eccleston is quitting because hes really good.
Bille Piper surprised me too. I thought that she wouldn't be very good but shes brilliant.

Billie Piper's very good, I think.
Of course, she's quite nice to look at, as well...

Well, BBC has just announced that David Tennant (who's on BBC1's "Casanova") is indeed the 10th Time Lord. Haven't seen "Casanova", therefore I cannot comment - I just hope he's good enough for the job!

Oh, it was wicked! (as the little boy on 'The Incredibles' would go). Was worth invading my neighbour's flat to see it (I don't own a TV set, so I have to count on his good will). But yet no Daleks! When are they coming?!

I missed the first episode cause I was in a hostel in London the day it premiered but I've seen every episode since then. It's entertaining and the special effects are actually quite nice for a tv show, I don't know if he's the best Dr Who I've seen, but it's a pleasant break from the steady diet of Hollyoaks, Eastenders, Coronation Street, and Neighbours that my flatmates force feed me. ;)

The daleks *will* be coming soon. I think they're appearing in the last episode of the series, but I'm not 100% on that.
Seen the replacement Doctor, David Tennant? How pathetic is he!??!

Will we just wait and see how the new guy does? Can you tell he is going to be crap by just looking at him? Must be smarter then me!
The Daleks start on the 30th April episode.

A report in the paper today suggests their may be only one dalek in the upcoming episode and it develops feelings after getting some DNA from the doctors assistant?? Can you imagine waking up the next morning with a dalek in bed with you? Put it down to the alchohol!

There will be just one Dalek on a rampage of extermination on 30th April episode. But a future episode, possibly the last one, will have many more. I also read somewhere that Dr. Who supposedly only has 13 bodies. David Tennant will be number ten!!!

Well the Dalek episode was on last night and I was slightly dissappinted. Although it was great to see it (the reaction to the words "I'm the Doctor was classic) and to hear the demented voice again the whole story fell a bit flat. The end was especially poor when it became all human acting.
I'm not a Who fan as such so maybe this was great for fans but not so for me.

To quote a friend about yesterday's episode, it got a bit crowded behind the sofa when the Dalek appeared...! I loved the storyline, but yeah, when it got down to the end of the episode it was a bit flat. Nevertheless, I thought it was great. :)
(Daleks doing stairs?! You say you want a revolution etc - it doesn't get more revolutionary that that, Doctor-wise...)

'Dalek' was pretty good, but after all the hype about how scary the creature was, the end result was a little disappointing. Yea, it was a great episode - one of the best of the series - but it needed more death and scaryness. :-p

Doctor Who checks into SCI FI
SCI FI Channel screen first series Fridays at 9pm from March.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/scifi.shtml
SCI FI Channel and BBC Worldwide Americas announced today a major licensing deal for the first series of the latest Doctor Who adventures.
The 13-part drama is about a mysterious time-travelling adventurer known simply as "The Doctor" (Christopher Eccleston) and his companion, Rose Tyler (Billie Piper). The Doctor and Rose risk death and danger, battling aliens and monsters.
The deal, brokered by Lisa Hofer, Director Co-Production & Sales, BBC Worldwide Americas, grants SCI FI Channel the first run rights for series one with an option for series two. The award-winning series will premiere on SCI FI beginning in March, airing Friday nights at 9.00pm.
Russell T Davies, Head Writer and Executive Producer told us: "The Doctor's made all sorts of journeys in Time and Space, but this is one of his most exciting yet! I'm a huge fan of the SCI FI Channel, and I'm delighted that Doctor Who is appearing on a channel that supports and enhances the entire genre."
"With its rich history of imaginative storytelling, Doctor Who is a true sci-fi classic," stated Thomas P. Vitale, SCI FI's Senior Vice President, Programming & Original Movies. "We're excited to add the show to our lineup."
Commenting on the deal Candace Carlisle, Senior Vice President, BBC Worldwide Americas, said: “The new production has fantastic storylines and production values and has already gained an iconic status around the world. SCI FI Channel is the perfect home for the show and will introduce Doctor Who to a whole new generation of fans in the US.”
In addition, BBC Video has moved the US release date of the DVD from February 2006 to July 4, 2006 to capitalize on the exposure from the TV broadcast. As part of the deal, BBC Video and SCI FI Channel have agreed to work together on joint marketing promotions to support the brand launch.
Burton Cromer, Vice President, Consumer Products, BBC Worldwide Americas said: “We are delighted to be working with SCI FI Channel on the launch of this exciting new take on Doctor Who. The additional marketing support from SCI FI, as well their ability to reach such a broad audience base, made moving the release date an easy decision.”
Executive Produced by Russell T Davies (lead writer) and Julie Gardner, the first series of Doctor Who attracted huge ratings and received critical acclaim when it aired on BBC ONE in March 2005.
