At his father's home, on the piano after an American friend visiting him made a remark about the meter maids.

He was mucking around on a piano in Liverpool when someone told him that in America they refer to the parking-meter women as meter maids. The thought grew from there and developed into the song.

Ummmm how about at Abbey Rd studios after he had got a parking ticket from the traffic warden named Meta (I don't actually believe that story but ooh well! I mean for a start, why would he have had his car parked at the studios when he lived like 2 seconds walk away?! Never made sense to me, that one!)????

My source lists the home of another person, not Paul or his father.
Hint: it was a person VERY close to the two people already mentioned.

Sorry, but that is incorrect.
It's a new month, isn't it? I'm happy to announce January's winner as, once again, zipp! Congratulations; go celebrate somehow (in moderation, please).

To begin February's game, we'll carry over the question left unanswered: What was the first track recorded for Traveling Wilburys' Vol. 3?

The existing recording of The Beatles' appearance on the Easy Beat radio show includes the only live performances by The Beatles of what two songs?

Misery and A Shot Of Rhythm and Blues?
Concerning the previous question, I woke up this morning with "Inside Out" in my head. It's a nice way to start the day with the Wilburies!
