Default OOOOOh! I like that part!

Hey I was jamming along in my car the other day to the New CD "1". And I started thinking about all my favorite parts in some songs! Like I love the part at the end of "All You Need is Love" Where you hear"She loves you yeah yeah yeah", real soft. I don't know why but I love that part. And I love the part at the beginning of "Lady Madonna" when it starts out soft and breaks in....I always try to get that just right on my steering wheel. (Anyone know what part I'm talking about?)
Oh and the clapping in 8 Days a week I'm proud of my precision. Clap...clap, clap...clap....clap,clap.
I know I'm crazy....But I've found most of you are too!

SO.....Tell Me! What are your favorite parts of certain songs?

I love the beginning part of Mean Mister Mustard.....John's voice is so sexy sounding!
I also love the part in Paul's Band On The Run, when he sings the part "Well the night was falling as the desert world began to settle down"..... When he says the word "settle", it's so Englishy sounding. I'm sure you people who have that sort of accent will have no idea what I'm talking about! There are a ton more that I can think of, but I'll give it a rest for now! Great topic, Eleanor!

The piano solo on "In My Life" must be one of the greatest moments in the history of popular music. I also like Paul's guitar solo on "Taxman"

The guitar riff at the beginning of Revolution always sends me diving to turn the stereo up!

I'd be quite prepared for that eventuality

Yeah, I LOVE it when John sings that there!

I like it whenever John 'n Paul ("the apostles? No, the Beatles"....sorry, quote from that one movie, couldn't resist) trade off on lyrics. For example, in Anytime At All where John sings "Anytime at all" and Paul follows for the high notes "anytime at all!", then John again "anytime at all", etc.

I love the very tail end of "PolythenePam" into "She came in through the bathroom window".
I also love the beginning of the percussion in "Love you to" and the hand claps in "Here comes the sun" and Pauls outro singing in "Got to get you into my life". I could go on practically forever but I won't.
Oh yeah one more the bass riffs in "Day Tripper". Ok yet another one and then I'm done the drum solo in "The End".

ooh! Good topic! I really love the intro of "Day Tripper". What do you think of John's voice during "Please, Please Me"? Y'know the part near the end, the way he sings, "C,mon" with that rough edge to his voice - very sexy.

I'm not sure if this is legal, but I really like the "Anthology" version of "Strawberry Fields Forever"(the middle one with the Mellotron). The whole song is, I think, beautifully done and especially the fade out sends a chill up my spine when I hear it.

A very good topic! Some of my faves are the drum solo in "The End", the rhythm track for "It's All Too Much" and Paul hitting that high note in "Let It Be".

Hey Eleanor, I pretty much came to the same conclusion after joining this Forum.

Your topic got me thinking (it is a great topic, by the way), and I think, like jami, that there are tons of parts of songs that I really really like. Yesterday I said the first two that came to mind, but now I can say the one I like best: that part on "Rain" (my favourite song, if you don't know it by now ) when the guitars stop and Ringo does a little drum solo, always joined by a synchronized bass guitar played by Paul. I always say "Ooooooh I love that part!!!!!"

I also love the "better, better, better, better, aahhhhhh!!!!!" part on "Hey Jude" (I often say to my friends when I'm listening to it with them: "please listen to that!" ) and the "ah…. ah…. ah…. ah…." sequence on "Twist And Shout"

If I can think of some more, I surely will post them.

I share so many fav moments with you all! Some others that come to mind are the last verse in "Eleanor Rigby"....particularly the way Paul sings the word "grave"....there are heaps of parts in "Hello Goodbye" that also rock my world and that wonderful crescendo in "Because", that bit in "She's a Woman" where the guitar doesn't play on the off-beat like it does in the rest of the song....there are just far too many parts in each song for me to name!!!

I love the song "I'm So Tired" more than anything, but the most magical moment in all of their songs for me is in "And Your Bird Can Sing" when they sing "Tell me that you've heard every sound there is." The harmony there is pretty much the best one you'll ever hear....ever.
