which confirms to me how lucky we as Beatles people are to have access to the studio, the insight of George, what he was creating and sometimes came up to the official release desk so much longer after these demos, of which there are still a lot in the archives.

It also includes Everybody Nobody which seems like a try out on some chords, and which became "oh.....Sir Frankie Crisps" even though George's thoughts which were reflected in this bootleg are still so accurate..

Listening to this bootleg makes me again realise that those statements of people saying George really came out with this album giving all those songs he had left behind in his Beatles period, are worth a dialogue, because it was just part of what was there.

I say, this was onle partly a Country/Bob album, but not a 'this is me' album, he left so much for later.... he knew... he knew it could be left for later..

Listened to my downloaded version just recently. It's a nice one, but the highlights for me are the ones you don't hear to often. "Follow Me" is one, but also the one together with Neil Young, "Only Love Can Break Your Heart".

Lately I am also listening to a McCartney set I have called "The soundcheck versions". Lots of great live versions of some more obscure songs, including a beautiful version of "Mother Nature's Soon", and an early cover version of "No other Baby" this is before "Run Devil Run".

In addition to presenting several of George Harrison’s collaborations with his friend and mentor Ravi Shankar, the Queensboro Recordings release of Yin and Yang with Fugelsang features the programme aired by America’s VH1 network in the hours following the Quiet One’s untimely death.

Hosted by the pleasantly knowledgeable John Fugelsang, VH1’s 1997 Yin and Yang special features George, as well as Ravi and his wife Sukanya as the promoted the Chants of India CD released that year. The programme was taped on 14 May 1997 and an edited version was seen on 24 July 1997.

But much more was locked away in the VH1 vaults...until now.

Only “All Things Must Pass” and “Prabhujee” were included in the original broadcast, so Queensboro Recordings has, for the first time ever, compiled all four of Hari’s performances from the best-available sources.

Enjoy all of these tracks, and be sure to purchase the original source CDs.

I've got the Yellow Cat bootleg "Yin and Yan" but the one you have is more complete regarding the VH1 shows.

At this moment I am listening to a bootleg called Mind Games sessions, it's a two cd set without a label. A great collection Mind Games outtakes in the best posible sound quality, really nice to listen to. I am sure however that i've most, if not all of the tracks on The Lost Lennon Tapes and on Vigotone's Mind Games set. But this one was just sitting nearby.

My favorite collection of Mind Games demos/alt. takes, etc. is Vigotone's 3 disc set, Absolute Elsewhere. Sometimes I prefer listening to John's acoustic demos on this set more than the finished product. I think MG benefited the most from the recent remastered cd releases. Mind Games is truly an underrated record; "I Know (I Know)" and "Out of the Blue" are stand-out tracks to me.

I am currently listening to one of my favorite Macca boots--Unsurpassed Masters 1 & 2--the first appearance of RAM-era outtakes, alternates of RRS tracks, too. Great collection. I particularly love "Rode All Night" and "Sunshine Sometime."

I highly recommend what I would deem the definitive McCartney collection in circulation now--the thirty disc set MoMac's Hidden Tracks.

I bought Pear Records' 'Alternate 'All Things Must Pass'' 2CD set last week, but I've only managed to have one quick listen to it. There's lots of stuff that really should have been included on the 2001 reissue and also demos of tracks like 'Cosmic Empire' and 'Going Down to Golders Green', songs which I'd never heard before. I particularly enjoyed the last track, a version of 'Lay It Down' where George sings the lyrics to 'The Hokey-Cokey'...

Do you have a link to the tracklist, or can you post some more about it. There are some good alternates by Pear, but in this case I am afraid I have it all.

Midnight box 3 cd set of the making of All Things Must Pass.

You will have everything what's on the Pear set, especially since Pear always make use of bootlegs released by the Yellow Dog team. Since Pear isn't a label that releases new stuff, they got to get it from somwhere, and what better then to get it from Yellow Dog.

Still from what I can see, they gathered together some nice outtakes, and I am sure the Pear cd is very nice to listen to. Now I think I go through my own collection, and gather together some of my favourite Alll Things Must Pass outtakes, to burn a nice compilation cd like this.

At this moment I am listening to Strawberry's, All Things Must Pass the apple acetates cd. "Wah Wah" take 3 instrumental. Very kick ass version.

I've been deeply engrossed in Purple Chick's 10 disc Complete BBC Sessions--Upgraded for 2004 set today. This set improves on Yellow Dog's 2004 BBC Sessions release, which suffered from several errors and glitches. I can't get enough of the Beatles' energetic performances, particularly of songs they never released officially.

And it's back to the Mind Games bootleg for me.

I've been scrutinizing Studio Two Sessions At Abbey Road the past few days--listening to them with headphones while reading Winn's account of the sessions in his superlative book, Way Beyond Compare. One of my favorite parts is take 10 of "Don't Bother Me". Upon realizing the take was botched, George sings with no enthusiasm--"Oh, yeah, rock 'n' roll, now" as the take draws to a close. I love feeling like I'm in the studio with the Beatles, hearing how these songs develop and their banter in between takes. I only wish more master tapes of their recording sessions had not been scrapped!!

The Studio Two Sessions is a great series of good quality studio outtakes. I missed the old days of Yellow Dog. It's great hearing the songs develop, how they differ from the original first take to the later takes. I agree it's almost like being a fly on the wall, hearing the conversations in the studio.
