Chaos and Creation in the Backyard

I've found that a LOT of songs on this album have that effect. I find myself singing one of the songs that's stuck in my head for days. Sometimes it's "A Certain Softness', other days it's something different.

Got the album last week !
It took a few listens to really like the songs.
I played it about three times back to back today !
I really like English Tea, Too Much Rain, Jenny Wren.
Normally I never listened to many solo McCartney albums - but the positive reviews for this one made me buy it.
And I was not dissappointed.

I have been going around for days humming Fine Line. I got the album about 2 weeks ago, and some of those songs are really growing one me!!!!

not only is the album wonderful i listen up and down no songs left out i love it especially english tea. i would love tea with paul. anyway saw him in concert it was my mom day treat and he was spectacular never did he sound or look better he was so good i wore my pepper suit for the event and it was so greta hope he comes round again in spring or summer.he was and is the best

I absolutley love Pauls work including this new album too, but is it only me or does it sound like he struggles to sing a few lines of certain songs, i know everyones voice goes after such a long time singing, what does everyone think?

the album is growing on me bit by bit...day by day...more further listening required.

As previously announced Paul will be appearing this Saturday, 17th December on 'Parkinson'. The programme starts at 22.10 (GMT). The veteran broadcaster chats to Paul about his solo career and work with the Beatles, as well as his latest project, the children's book called ‘High in the Clouds’.

Also on UK TV that night on BBC2 is the documentary 'The Making Of Chaos and Creation In The Backyard'. The broadcast of is scheduled to start at 22.30(GMT). The show contains previously unseen interviews and performances during the creation of Paul’s latest album.

These fantastic Art Prints are reproduced from Paul McCartney's exhibition which launched the tour book 'Each One Believing'. They are high quality digital prints on archival paper and feature a Paul McCartney signature scanned on to show their authenticity. I´ve just realized that i totally love "A Certain Softness", the lyrics, the music, the way Paul sings it, everything about it!!!

I just got this cd and I haven't liked anything new this much in a long time.
I LOVE the trippy music. Good to see Paul this creative these days.
Much of his latter albums seem forced lyrically or musically at times but this one is back to form.
It flows and has a good and natural flow to it.

My boyfriend and I purchased the album together -- our first joint purchase, and we've been dating for three years... pathetic, eh?! -- and I love it. My question to anyone who can answer it is: is there any way to put the songs on my iPod? I would really love to have these songs with me all day, every day *sigh*, and I knew when I bought it that there were copy protections on the CD to prevent illegal distribution (fair enough) which I'm not interested in doing... but still, is there any way to get them on my iPod? (PM me if you can help!)

I absolutetly adore this album! I love every song on this album (well almost every song) and that's not a lie, though my absolute favorites are How kind of you, A certain Softness (very romantic, but that's just the kind of guy Paul is), Fine line of course ( I will never get tired of that song), At the Mercy ( next to fine line, this is probably the hook song for me can't get it out of my head) and Promise to you girl(Like how it starts off opera like and then kicks the tempo up)
I also like English Tea it's a cute little song.

Honorable mentions goes to:
Friends to Go (This sounds like it should be a theme song to a Tv show, but I really like it, it works).
Too Much Rain (This is the kind of song where I just lock myself up in my room and hit the repeat button and think about all the things that went wrong that day and with my life period and then release *ah* that feels better)
This never Happened Before

Don't really care for Follow Me, but I think it just has to grow on me as Does Jenny Wren.

About Driving Rain: what went wrong with that album was two things. The first, it was over produced and the second, is many of the songs felt out of placed among one another, othewise, IMO, it would have been a great album. For anyone who says and agrees with the sentiment that Paul hasn't done anything worth while since his beatle days, I really think you should give his catalog a fair listen, with an unbiased ear. As much as I love the Beatles, they are not the be-alls and end-alls of music. I'm not looking for another beatles... been there, done that, I'm looking for the true Paul, the creative and talented one I've always known him to be. He put a lot of work into this album, even poured his heart and his soul into it, and it worked. Thanks Paul.

Just open itunes and load the cd into your computer. It should just play in itunes and then just save it. Then update your ipod.

I Love Jenny Wren, that song is so good...

I really like Fine Line and Jenny Wren. Haven't gotten to hear the others yet, too much.

'Friends to Go', 'Riding Into Vanity Fair', and 'Anyway' are the highlights for me!

The sounds at the end of 'Anyway' are very similar to Radioheads 'Pyramid Song'.

Who else has noticed that Paul's name reads the same, upside down and straight ?

Fine Line is a very memorable song and one I haven't tired of yet.
Promise to You Girl took some time, but it is also a nice tune.

I discovered the inverted name by accident when I picked up the CD.

I love "Friends to Go" and can't get enough of that one.

This CD has some good songs on it including Fine Line.
