Hi, I\'m New (RIP George Harrison 1943-2001)
I've been browsing for a while, but figure its probably the time to register, because I finally have something to talk about.
This morning I woke up, like any other day, and got ready for school. I put on my black "With The Beatles" t-shirt and got ready to go to school. Normally I play "Let's Spend The Night Together" by the Stones before school every morning, today for some reason I felt as if I should listen to "It's All Too Much", one of my favorite Beatles tracks.
On the way to school my dad turned on the radio, and I heard the flags at Liverpool were at half staff. I figured maybe it's because it was getting close to the anniversary of John's death, but was proved wrong in a matter of seconds. It hit me hard and I began crying; I hadn't cried since the September 11 tragedy.
I had grown up with the music of the Beatles, and just recently began reading up on them, even doing a report on them in school. George was my favorite Beatle, I was a lot like him. In fact, it was the distinct sounds of George Harrison's guitar playing that got me into taking guitar lessons.
My friends, teachers, and family were all very kind today; even people I don't normally get along with came up to me and offered their condolences (I'm the biggest Beatle fan in my school). A few teachers even observed a moment of silence before each class.
I offer my condolences to all of you other Beatle fans(more-so to Olivia, Dhani, and everyone else close to George, although they probably won't read this), because I know that you were deeply hurt today if you're a big a fan as me, or probably bigger.
Things like this make you realize that the Beatles were human, but they will live on forever through their music, and for that they're immortal.
Thanks for taking the time to read this

Glad you joined.
It will have been hartwarming how your school reacts to George's death.
