Default If you don\'t know where you\'re going

To give this Rare song a little more attention I open a new topic.

I have not seen this one on any bootleg sofar. It is from the July 24, 1997 VH1 interview, where George performed

All things must pass
Prabhujee (with mr. and mrs. Shankar)
If you belonged to me
If you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there.

He starts to say 'Im the only person who doesn't know his own songs' 'Well we try a verse of this one.'

I've been travelling on a boat, on a plane, on a car and a bike and a bus and a train
Travelling there, travelling here
Everywhere, in every gear
But ah Lord, you pay the price
with the spin of the wheel, with the role of the dice
ah yeah you pay your fare
and if you don't know where you're going,
any road 'll take you there
I've been travveling on a thing and a prair, on a skin on my teeth, the breath of our hair
travelling where the four winds blow, with the sun on my face, in the ice and the snow
but oh wee it's a game
sometime you cool, sometimes you lame
ah yeah it's somewhere
and if you don't know where you're going,
any road 'll take you there
BADGE
you may not know where you came from (this sounds exactly like the first line of the bridge on If you belonged to me)
you may not know who you are
may not even have wondered
how you got so far

but I keep travelling around the bend
there was not beginning there is no end
wasn't born, it never dies
there are no edges, there is no sides,
but oh wee, just don't win
it's so far out, the the way out is in
bowed to God and call him Sir (?)

but if you don't know where you're going,
any road 'll take you there
if you don't know where you're going,
any road 'll take you there

and if you don't know where you're going,
any road 'll take you there

the basic chords are like from If you belonged to me. G and D mainly like on that song, and C. High fred, 2 below If you belonged to me.

Kind of country-ish this one... I really liked it, thanks FPSHOT.

Ahhhh!

but if you don't know where you're going,
any road 'll take you there
if you don't know where you're going,
any road 'll take you there

Just heard Georgie sing this one over the weekend! *Sigh*! So true!

Since we have some new members here, this may be worthwhile to them, because this song is hardly brought forward and does sound quite good.

It can be downloaded at various sites, like Audiogalaxy.

I treasure that VH1 interview like the holy grail. I wonder if it might appear on LegEnd

I tabbed out Tom Petty's ''The Man Who Loves Women'' for both guitar and ukulele.

This is the tab for Tom Petty’s “The Man Who Loves Women” off the great album The Last DJ, orchestra arranged by Jon Brion.
I didn’t find it anywhere on the net…so I decided to transcribe it.

The song is played with acoustic guitars and a ukulele (Probably given to Tom Petty by George Harrison!) therefore,

I’ve tabbed it out for BOTH GUITAR & CONCERT UKULELE

Guitar Chords (Standard EADGBe Tuning):
C – x32010
Em – 022000
F – 133211
G – 320003

Ukule Chords (Tuning GCEA):
C – 0003
Em – 0432
F - 2010
G - 0232
Am – 2000
