I have Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and Lebanese roots - all in a 100% Blue Meanie-proof, board-certified Brazilian capsule.

I'm surprised I'm the only one to have listed Greek yet. Usually we're all over the place

HeyBeatle it's nice to know you're Greek!

I was sort of expecting for one to appear.

I will not be opening any stores...but I would not be surprised if my mother tried to hug you and feed you something and my grandfather would tell you all manner of stories whether or not you want to hear them.

My mother was always the barometer by which to test friends, the ones who jumped back at her loving nature usually weren't keepers. However my husband still is thrown off by the kissing, he tries to redirect where her lips land...like that's going to work.

Sound like my maternal family to me (the Italian side of my equation)! It must be something in the Mediterranean water, then...

Maybe, or maybe it all goes back to when the Greeks took over the whole area and then the Romans and then... and then. We're probably all related to one another in that general area, in some way.

Hey maybe your maternal family is my maternal family's cousins 200 times removed.

My dad is Irish and his blood line is basically Irish and English. My mum is from Gibraltar, and through her I also have Spanish, Maltese, Italian and Lebanese blood, and probably more besides.

Isn't everyone a little Irish? Especially around St. Patrick's day?

I was talking with my aunt and uncle who know our family lineage. And with the last names of Gilmore and Huston in there, it pretty much sounds like we're Irish on my Dad's side. But, there are other mixes that have crept in there as well.

My mom's family is Russian, my dad's is Polish; as far as I know I'm only those two.
