The Best Beatles Biography???

I will have to read over this whole discussion as want to read some Beatles and John Lennon biographies. About half way through 'Being John Lennon-A Restless Life' by Ray Connolly, which I have quite taken to. The author is sympathetic towards Jim without idolising him. Ray Connolly maintains that he knew John in the late 1960's and certainly has a good overview of rock music and popular culture.

I have finished 'Being John Lennon..' Got a fair amount from it but seemed quite rushed towards the end. John's life after The Beatles didn't get much coverage compared with how much of the book was taken up by his earlier life. Will attempt a review later.
