Paul at Coachella
I got to see Paul at Coachella. It was absolutely the most amazing experience of my life. I never thought I would get the chance to see him live. It was 2 1/2 hours of pure bliss!! It was especially significant being the anniversary of Linda's death. He talked about that and dedicated "My Love" to her. He mentioned a couple of times what an emotional day it was for him- how she had died in the desert and here he was back in the desert playing on the same day- it was such a beautifully touching moment to share with him. Anyway, I am still on a high from that night five nights later. No concert could ever top that. (Well maybe a Paul/Ringo reunion...)

My pastor's wife shared a fun little story with us this past Sunday morning. She said Pastor's brother (who lives in CA) called and shared how he went to "our little music festival" and saw Paul McCartney. Apparently if you live right on top of Coachella, then you don't realize what a big deal it is.
He really enjoyed Paul, he said.

Glad you had a good time.
I read good things about this show, and am downloading a bootleg of it right now.
Can't wait to hear it.

Just listening to some of the songs from this show.
The performance is really good, so is the setlist.
Some songs from Electric Arguments are also included.
The version of "Sing The Changes" is fantastic.
"Sing the changes in the desert, feel the mountains all around us".
Cd 1 in mp3 format, http://rapidshare.com/files/234058610/Coachella01.zip
Cd 2 in mp3 format will follow.
I recoded the Flac files to Wav, then encoded them into 320 kbps mp3 files. Tags are included.

Thank you so much, Legs! I listened to the first CD this morning and truly enjoyed it. Paul was in good voice, I though, and inspired! Particularly the The Long And Winding Road - Here Today segment, when he sings about his loss of Linda and John, is very touching. I also enjoyed the new Fireman tracks a lot and, amusingly, this version of Mrs. Vanderbilt had a bit of a Russian touch to it, very nice. If the second half of the concert is as good - wow!
As an aside, the first track contains an intro that is rather low in volume. Don't let it fool you. As soon as Paul comes on around the 4 min mark the volume increases and really, especially to be a bootleg, the quality of the recording is excellent. In fact, so good that most of the time you forget it's not a regular label release. If you haven't downloaded it, do yourself a favor and do it now!

Thank you, Legs!
It just goes to show you that even a former BEATLE can't dodge that Beatle influence! Glad Paul included a nice mix of Beatle songs.

The recording quality on the second disc is also overall good, except for when the fireworks in Live And Let Die messes it up a bit.
This disc starts off great with the Band On The Run and Back In USSR double whammy. Great songs! He dedicates Something to Olivia, who, he points out, is in the audience. Oops, messed up the lyrics a little in A Day In The Life but who can blame him? Very good live version, really! Great audience participation in Hey Jude, which concludes the set. Then begins the encore and Paul seems to get a second wind with Birthday and Can't Buy Me Love. Yesterday begins the second encore, at which point Paul's rather hoarse. Not that one notices much during Helter Skelter!
Great show!
Thanks for posting, Legs!

Hi!
You don't have to pay, unless you are planning on downloading lots of stuff. In that case it might be easier cause everything goes much faster and you don't have to wait two minutes before downloading etc. For these two links you can just use the free user button.
I noticed that many have downloaded disc 1, but not disc 2. So if you still haven't, maybe you forgot, but there is some great stuff there to.

Disc 2
I agree! It was a fantastic concert all the way through so those that have only heard disc 1 should really try disc 2 also. Here's the link again:
