I'm confused. What constitutes a "sticky" thread? Is it something that is of relevant interest? Are you saying there should be MORE remasters Legs? I'm very confused.

a sticky is important enough to stay at the top of the forum, does not need to be "bumped to the top" it stays there.
but no new remasters. unless they decide to release them on hd tracks high res digital...that might be nice.
i know i was not asked this , but i hope i answered correctly.
We can always start one, I guess... but I'd like to see a sticky of the photo threads we have started here. We will be posting quite often new photos that we finds, so perhaps Legs, you could put the Family Picspam and John and Yoko Picspam threads as stickys for us here on Menlove Avenue? That would be most appreciated!

might have to send the ole pm where your request is not missed. legs was off to listen to some vinyl if i remember his last post.
i bet there is a review of the box set here also since it came out last year.
gk.
I should dig it up but I can't be bothered. I think perhaps we should make a thread on it but I'm so bad I only listened all the way through only 3 albums. I just got hooked on "DF Stripped" and forgot. I'm terrible. John, won't you forgive me?

I got hung up on the stripped-down DF for a while, too... it's pretty amazing! But I quickly moved on 'cuz there's so much to love on the other albums as well.

Hang on a minute, this thread was a sticky one for over a year without a response, now that I unstick it it gets lot of posts? So maybe the unsticky ones are important?
But yes Walrus is right. Sometimes threads about a new release gets pinned at the top, as it can be seen as an important event. And yes sometimes it's handy to have one photo thread at the top to make it easier to post stuff there instead of having to search for different photo threads that were once started.

No, I am perfectly fine with the last round of remasters.
It was just a joke refering to the fact the thread was pinned at the top without having got a reply for a year.
I do have the box set, since I wanted to have the remasters of all the albums anyway. You get all the original mixes in the best possible sound quality on cd.
So these are the cd's I listen to when I want to hear some solo John Lennon.
The box itself is really big, and it can be unhandy to get the cd's out, but still the best representation of John's solo carreer.
hope some of them get the 180gram vinyl treatment one day...besides just imangine and plastic ono band.

I know that Mofi also released "Live Peace in Toronto" and "Mind Games" on 180 gram vinyl. I have these and while they sound good, my choice for vinyl are the original versions. Nothing against EMI putting out new vinyl versions, but for myself there is no need to buy them. Some nice second hand first editions might actually going to sound better, but then you must have the luck of finding good copies.
I'd love to know people's opinions on the box set. Is that a thread by chance?
This one is, or was and can be again. Starting a new one also isn't a problem.
As for the photo threads. I actually thought there was one pinned at the top, but since there isn't I will make one a sticky. While I am not to sure about two photo threads I think I go ahead and make one for John and Yoko, and one for the rest of the family, just give me the links to the two threads needing to be pinned.
