Sorry FPSHOT, wasnt ignoring you, I havent logged on for a while, really buzy, you know how it is, then the George thing hit the fan, and I must admit I kinda thought serious thoughts there for a while, and got distracted, anyhow, as has been previously answered, as this is a family board, all kiddies please look away now, Suffice to say that 'do the bold thing' (not BALD!!!) is a Dublin expression for mmmmm, having sex. Simple really.

And in the end..

Yes I have Carol Bedford's book also. For the most part I thought she handled it very sensitively and enjoyed reading it, but I would still bet George hates it. I think George has been very lucky that people he has come to know have usually kept quiet about it. Maybe something in his personality brings out the best in people and they feel very loyal to him.

Yikes! Did I say that? I just had a quick look at the book to remind myself what it was about. She told the whole story probably plus a bit more. Remember she's trying to sell a book here. Still she didn't say she (you kiddies had better avert your eyes again) slept with him and I did enjoy reading it. She said some nice things about him and you come out of the book loving him. And I'm still going to bet George hates it.

I love george, but he can tend to be the snarkiest of the Beatles, especially in the last ten years or so. He's slammed a lot of bands out there and while some deserve it, others that he mentioned were actually quite good. But george is still up there in my books. The poor guys been through a lot lately.

It's always boggled my mind that you hardly ever hear any first hand stories from any of the girls from back then. Did they have to sign some sort of non-disclosure agreement? Were they paid off? Was it just so shocking back then that they were ashamed to talk about it? I wonder.

Great comment in my opinion
Rellevart-- aside from the book(s) mentioned
prior, I don't know of any documentation in
this area myself... but then again, times
were a bit differant back in the 60's, and
in some ways, maybe things considered more
sacred then are a bit less sacred these days-
(at least to some). Meantime, I just want to
share that even though I don't really have a
problem with this topic, the way I would have
worded it in the asking, would probably be
to substitute the word "laid" for "slept
with"-- to me, that's probably more "Beatle-
sque"--(at least in terms of more closely
defining the times back then). And in answer
to the question, in my opinion-- it was probably Paul--(if not, I'd say Ringo-

[/b][/quote]...hmm.. well, come to think
of it, "getting it on" might be even more
appropriate via the original question..
