Default Fan Fiction

I'm on the look out for new fan fics to read. Does anyone know of good ones that aren't particularly well known?

I belong to Toastmasters, a story telling/public speaking guild. On Monday 7/23/01 I will be telling a story about a fan who greets the Beatles when they arrive in America on February 7, 1964. I will set my story to music, with a Beatles' CD blaring out "I Want to Hold Your Hand" and "She Loves You" during the telling.

This will be my first time telling it, so I am a little nervous.

I love Beatle stories.

I'm going to check out everyone's work.

On Monday, July 23, 2001 I told "1964, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah." It was told from the viewpoint of somebody who ditched for the day to see the Beatles when they arrived in America on 2/7/64. I set the story to music and even used props. I really got into it.

It was a lot of fun telling that story.

I'm glad it went well! That is happy.

I love rooftop sessions, and read things from it regularly. (BTW, thanks Susan!) Also, fanfiction.net is great, they have some really good stuff.

I am working on a directory for fan fiction with a friend from Wales. It won't be complete for a really really long time...but it will be done at some point.

Thank you for the kind endorsements, HMVNipper and Strawberry Fields. I'd like to someday maybe submit something, a cool Beatle themed story for www.rooftopsessions.com

As for "1964, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah" I am going to retell it next Monday. The MC of Toastmasters gave me some good tips to tell that story again and make it even more effective. It was a fun story for me to do. I told the group, "Most of what you saw tonight was not acting. Nobody is that good, not even DeNiro or Hanks." The enthusiasm and love for the Beatles was real. NOBODY could have acted THAT part.

I'm excited about seeing more work in www.rooftopsessions.com and fanzine!

I'm so happy it went well, BB! That must have been a lot of fun to do! I hope your audience appreciated it as much as you appreciated doing it!

I think it'd be great having you join us for some Rooftop Sessions, BB1964! And I'm glad you had fun with your story; hope the encore performance is even better.

Wow, BB, sounds like your presentation for the Toastmasters went REALLY well, I do wish I could've seen/heard you!

I'd love to see a fanfic from you...your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to eventually write a story for me to see...I really hope you do!! (That goes for anyone else who wants to write a fanfic and submit it for possible inclusion in a future issue of RS!) The new issue will be up on Wednesday (God and the Internet willing) with six, count 'em, SIX, new stories and an article about doing research for historical fiction...

I can say no more...until the issue is up!

Thanks, everyone, for the ringing endorsements -- you are fab!
