As much as I respect Paul, I feel that "Freedom," and "I'm Down" were way below his ability level. To me, they were the equivalents of an A-student turning in D- work. Although I don't care much for "Freedom," I respect the rationale behind it and that Paul's heart was in the right place. Still, I don't care for the song.
As for "I'm Down," I think it is a genuine stinker of 1965! If that one had been done by anybody else, I might figure that the artist in question was working up to speed, depending upon the artist(s). Since Paul, who I think is the world's most talented artist created that one, I and think, "Paul, you can and have done world's better than that one! Good thing you didn't rest on your laurels with that one!"

On a popular TV Show here in Olanda was a guest called Flip Scipio who is a Dutch man living in New York and he is a Guitar repairman. He fixed guitars from Paul Simon, Carly Simon, Keith Richards, Bob Dylan...many others... and Paul too.
He worked on the famous Hofner several times and told that it was brought to him by one of Paul's bodyguards who flew by Concorde together with Paul's private butler to his place in New York and protected the guitar very carefully.
I've been watching Help! lately. I loooove the way Paul runs... he has a very unique, semi-athletic/semi-comical style. But it's very elegant. Also, I think it's my favorite era for his hair...

Maia, we have another hair lover here! I understand - Paul's hair is beautiful and it was especially beautiful in Help! So soft and silky....not a wave in it, unlike our friend George who had that beautiful wavy hair.
I wonder how many times Paul has been to Boston and how many times he's been to Canada.

OK, I really need for someone to be as giddy over this as I am. Saw this video yesterday:
and it sent my Paul-crush into overdrive. Look at his hair! There's a hint of gray at the temples and the cut is so flattering. He also seems peaceful and happy and it just sets my heart aflutter.
Please tell me I'm not alone!
