Default What is your favorite song based on the lyrics?

Me, I like different songs for different reasons. Some I like because of the beats and instruments, some because the lyrics hit home, and others simply because they are fun, and some that have a combo of all three.

Not easy to pick just one, but right now I'd go with Across The Universe and Hey Jude. :)

Across the Universe ~ Poetic
Day Tripper ~ I love the playfulness of the sexual metaphor... so clever.
Come Together and I am the Walrus ~ Brilliant wordplay, the nonsense is poetic.
I like John's "vulnerable" songs like Help! and I'll Be Back. Kinda sweet.
And lately I've been digging Lovely Rita ~ Paul plays a lot with with sounds in this one: "sitting on the sofa with a sister or two" and "free to take some tea with me"
Oh, and Back in the USSR... because it's so cheeky.

And so many more....

The lyrics to Within You Without You are beautiful.

Hey Jude and Blackbird are so beautiful based on the lyrics.

Wow, I have a bunch. Across the Universe. In My Life. Let It Be. I've Just Seen a Face (for the sheer breathless exuberance of it). Rain. You've Got to Hide Your Love Away. Think for Yourself. Within You Without You. For No One. Come Together. Here Comes the Sun.

I could never completely decide on a favorite, but "Within You Without You" is the 1st to come to mind :]

It's too difficult for me to choose one, but I always think of "Within You, Without You" first.

Baby You're a Rich Man for its poetic justice. Dear Prudence for the same reason.
Me and My Monkey for its poetic nonsense. Across the Universe for its beauty.
