If you mean Mark Lapidos' Beatlefest -- in the fall of 1974 in NYC. However, there was a prior Beatles convention in Boston, over the weekend of July 26, 1974, organized by a Joe Pope, editor of the fanzine "Strawberry Fields Forever."

Kat, I have looked in SEVERAL books...short of calling Mark Lapidos himself and asking him, the only info I can find with dates is that the first EVER Beatles convention was held in Boston over the weekend of July 26, 1974, organized by Joe Pope of "Strawberry Fields Forever," followed closely by the first Beatlefest in New York in the fall, with no exact date for that. The first Beatles con in England was held in London at the Alexandra Palace over the weekend of December 18-19, 1976, and Liverpool's first convention took place over the weekend of October 8-9, 1977, organized by Bob Wooler and Allan Williams, followed by major conventions in Liverpool organized by Liz and Jim Hughes, who held a convention at the Adelphi Hotel on Saturday, August 19,1981. THOSE conventions have since become the Liverpool Beatles Week festivities, generally held over the August Bank Holiday Weekend annually.

I hope this is enough info!

In the reference book I have, it does give an exact date for the first Beatlefest. It also mentions the other first conventions that you listed Susan. The date is actually before Autumn arrived.
