Does anyone here have that book. Is it good?

Q: In the Anthology book, you talk about the unwound G string. What is that? I play guitar and I'm not sure what you're talking about.
George: It's one of those little things that goes up your butt so that people can't see your pantylines.

I've never heard of that book, but I just have to say that I just read your signature and that quote is really funny.

Re: Eight arms to hold you
Yeah, after that weird looking statue with the eight arms.
Each Beatle had two arms. There were 4 Beatles. 2 x 4 = 8 Arms to Hold You. Beatle Math!
I'm glad that name wasn't used and "Help!" was.

The book is about the lives of each one of The Beatles after the group's departure, featuring a pretty good chronology of all the releases, concerts and important activities. Surely a good adition to our personal libraries.

Re: Eight arms to hold you
A very good book to have. Chip Madinger and Mark Easter did a superb job compiling the information for this book.
My copy is a test pressing which came out in 2000. At the bottom of the front cover it sataes:
<UL TYPE=SQUARE>This is a test pressing intended for the use in determing the technical quailty of the recording only. It is not to be sold or distributed to the public.[/list]

Re: Eight arms to hold you
Thanks for the advise. I already had some when this book was about to come out and was reading the intro pages, looked interesting.
Will put in on my list.

my copy says the same, but my understanding is that the quote refers to its being on an album label. The book cover is of a row of solo-Beatle albums from front cover, over the book spine, and onto the back cover and are in chronological order as to release from Paul's The Family Way soundtrack to Traveling Wilburys' Vol. 3. Over the picture on the front cover is a picture of an LP with the name of the book and authors (called 'Artist') on the LP label. On the back cover is a picture of a CD jewel case with a summary of the book and info as to the copyright information, publishing company, barcode, etc. The authors were signing copies at Beatlefest Chicago this past August, and the copies available there were identical to mine I ordered from Beatlefest.com
I dig this book; it's become one of my main Beatles references. Has a lot of information on the recording of each of The Beatles solo albums and tracks, plus it has supplemental info on each Beatle's life between recordings. Also has a lot of info on bootlegs of tracks not officially released. Although the book's first pressing was limited to only about 3000 copies, one of the authors told me that they're working on a revised edition that'll include releases since the book came out (it currently contains released only up to 6-'00 [Paul's performance of "Maybe Baby" on the soundtrack of the Maybe Baby movie]), so maybe the book'll be more available in the future
