It wasn't as bad as critics made it out to be. Of course it helps if you are a Weird Al fan.

"Valkyrie". I heard it got panned by critics, and of course Tom Cruise is a bit nutty....
But I gave it a shot and rented it. I have to say, I disagree with all the negatives I heard about the film, and Tom was not bad in the role of Col. Stauffenberg. Amazing story that I knew very little about... other than that they tried to kill Hitler.

I'm waiting for Valkyrie to come on a premium channel, I am very interested in WWII history, my Dad and his 3 brothers all fought in WWII, they all came home, that was not the case many times with multiple family members in the service at the time!

Wow, beatlelover... that is amazing that your dad and three(!) uncles were in WWII and ALL of them came home!
I have been a military history buff for as long as I can remember. Mostly American Civil War, but I have also been interested in WWII. The closest I had to a relative in WWII was a cousin of my mom's who was on Iwo Jima. Luckily for him, he was wounded as soon as he landed and evacuated soon after. So he was spared of having to move further in and taking part in the protracted fighting.
I have a close friend who's dad was in The Ardennes during the Battle of the Bulge. My friend says that his dad never talked about it to anyone... and only began talking a little bit about it shortly before he passed away.
Anyway... yes, see Valkyrie. It's a decent flick!

"Taken".
Completely far-fetched and predictable. But it was entertaining and action-packed. Sometimes that's all you need a movie to be in order to enjoy it. It ends happily, too... and I am a sucker for a happy ending!

I was forced to see Leap Year and I'm not a Romance movie fan at all but I actually thought it was really cute....

Watched E.T last night.... and it was really good. At parts it did nearly have me cry because I've never seen the movie before.

E.T. was an adorable movie! My nephew was maybe 8 when I took him to see it, he cried so hard the rest of us, the adults had to buck up for him, he is now 32, still very sweet too!

"Black Sheep". Genetically mutated sheep that turn people into "were-sheep" run amok on a New Zealand farm!

I just watched two:
Star Trek II:Wrath of Khan
Star Trek III: Search for Spock
I always have to watch those together. Or as close to each other as I can

During the blizzards we watched:
Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs (cute for kids),
9 (great animation)
and The Hangover (it was pretty funny).
