I just was in the grocery store and I heard this, a song I've sung along with for years yet it never struck me how cruel the lyrics are! Meat Loaf's "Two Out of Three Ain't Bad"... how freakin' mean! lol...

I want you
I need you
But -- there ainít no way Iím ever gonna love you
Now donít be sad
ícause two out of three ainít bad

Townsend hasn't lost his rebellious streak and still manages to stick a finger up to the establishment, gawd bless him

Pink Floyd and the Beastie Boys do the best live shows and as much as I love Clapton he is sooooooo boring live.

Cyndi Lauper has a unique voice. I like her song All Through the Night in particular.

Cool

I think "Most Likely You'll Go Your Way (And I Go Mine)" is one of the best breakup songs ever written, just because of the wry lyrics. Listen to Bob singing it live in Before The Flood and it is just so rocking.

I just LOVE "Sun City," the anti-Apartheid anthem. That, as I have said all along is a DAMN GOOD SONG!

I never liked the theme song from The Breakfast Club and used to call it quite derisively "The Obscene Phone Call." That was because it sounded like a heavy breather. Love the movie, hate the song.

Me without "Jackson" is like a fish without a Chevrolet and two trucks. I love Johnny Cash, but I sure as hell don't love "Jackson!"

I KNOW! I was watching him on TV this morning, and I nearly fell asleep. I mean I wasn't expecting a big, electric "Layla" preformance complete with fireworks and topless backup dancers or anything but, c'mon.

As I have ranted about in the past,my favorite element of music is harmony. Which means my favorite harmony group is John,Paul, George and Ringo.
Next on my list are:
1. BeeGees - The kind of three part harmony that only twins and a brother could produce.
2. CSNY - As far as I'm concerned the first and the best 'supergroup'. The last of the great supergroups was the Wiburys.....Hari makes my list twice!
3. Mamas and the Papas - The best male-female harmonizers.
4. Beach Boys (with Brian Wilson)

CSNY are the ideal harmony. I've seen CSN 3 times and Neil Young only once. I've seen Neil Diamond 2 times and I JUST LOVE Neil Diamond! He REALLY ROCKS in concert! Damn, he is GOOD!

I loved the Mamas & Papas and the second generation, Wilson-Philips as well.
Although I don't like the word "beach," I've always liked the Beach Boys and my favorite song was the 1964 hit, "I Get Around."

A joke version I heard:

We always take my 63 Falcon 'cause it's never been beat
it's the coolest blue Ford on the whole damn street

I do too! Peter Gabrieal(is that how it's spelled?)? Or am I thinking of the Say Anything song?

Madonna's new song is stalking me. Everywhere I turn Madonna's there shaking her little arse in her pink leotard thing.

System of a Down is a wonderful band. I realized that today. I listened to their cd's and they're great.

Nothing to do with what I'm used to listenning to
