I don't doubt it in the slightest! I have this little theory that in the end everyone is a little bit Irish or Mediterranean (Italian or Greek) - even the most intramuros Swedish or African person. After all, they've been around a bloody lot!

As far as percentages go, I haven't the faintest clue how much of a certain nationality I am.

My great-aunt traced my mother's family back to 1694 when some of my ancestors left France for Canada, or what was then known as "Nouvelle-France". So, I'm pretty sure that I am 100% Canadian on her side. I'm supposing that after 300 years or so the "French" in me is all gone. lol

My father's family is a little more easy to trace as my grand-father and his family moved from the Netherlands to Canada after WWII (I believe it was 1955). He and his family were the only ones to move away. All of my father's family still live in the Netherlands. However, since I do not have a 'typical' Dutch last name and since my family all live in Friesland, something tells me that I may have had ancestors that came from Germany and/or Belgium since the countries are all so close.

I also did a bit of research and found that there are even people living France with my maiden last name. On top of that there was even another women here in France with my exact name! It is was strange for me to see because I did not have a common last name, but Valerie is a pretty common first name in France.

To make a long story short as far as I know I'm a "Dutch-Canadian".

75% of the Beatles were Anglo-Irish.

Ringo was the only non-Irish Fab and his bloodlines include the Shetland Islands.

When I learned that as a child, I did some reading up on the Shetland Islands.

Good grief! That sounds just like my Mom and she's born smack on the Arctic Circle! Hugs and food, food and hugs, yes sir, I know it well! <- mom

My maternal grandfather had a legendary mercurial character - one moment laughing the other mad as a hatter - and he told stories too. Me, I have an temper! Just ask my family! (They better back me up or else! )

haha, yeah on our first date my mother kept the awkwardness super low by hugging him when he left after the date. Then when the parents finally met it was just the same, his family is all reserved, my family is nuts.

Actually the Dutch belong to the same group of nations as the Germans (germanic, romanic, and slave being the main division of nations in Europe). I think Hungarians are an exception, they came with the Hunes and the Avars, hence the name. The English are also a Germanic nation, they belonged to the same tribe(s) as the Germans, but moved to the island long ago. (anyone knows when?). Same with Scotts. I think the Irish then moved even more to the west, to a new island.

I have Jewish blood. 8th Slovenian, I also have Russian, Ukranian blood. My last name is Sladoljev, a Russian or Ukranian name, not sure. The rest of me is Croatian.

Mom's ancestry is Kickapoo Indian and also Spaniard, but, again, we're not sure of the exact 'percentages'.
If his parent is fully Apache, he's 3/4 Apache (1/2 from his parent, 1/4 from his grand-mother). If his parent is half Apache, he's 1/2 Apache (1/4 both from his parent and his grand mother. So, you're 3/8 or 1/4 Apache.

GGirl, the Beatles have similar bloodlines. 75% of the Fabs (excluding Ringo) are Anglo-Irish.
Does Ringo have Jewish blood? I read he's Jewish, but he says he isn't.

A positive or A+ blood is in my bloodline.

As for Ringo, the man says he's not Jewish. I think I'd believe what he said. As Paul sang, "listen to what the man said..."

My mom says I'm a Heinz-57. Meaning I have almost everything in my blood-line.

My neighbor has a Moroccan basenji and she said her curly tailed imported dog has noble blood. The basenji is a beautiful northern African breed of dog and the ancient Egyptians loved basenjis and used them in their artwork. My neighbor said her basenji has the blood of pharaohs in her bloodline.

This man has a pug in the neighborhood and he said that in addition to having Chinese bloodlines as pugs are a breed from China, she, too has noble blood as the noble gentry in China loved pugs.
