There has been talk about this. Also an abridged version of the video set is suppose to be available in the near future.

unless there`s added footage, outtakes, etc on the dvd`s what would be the point if youve already seen it on vhs?better sound..better picures...ok, but is it really that much better to see the same thing again, and to obviously pay more.I wonder

I meant that VHS tapes in general will be outdated - VHS and DVD is like comparing a phonograph to a cd player. I don't think VHS will last too much longer to be honest, all bulky things like that will get smaller and be replaced by cd's/mini discs, etc. So we'll eventually have to buy them whether we like it or not!

And welcome to Beatlelinks by the way!

I got the boxed set of vids years ago when they first came out - I think for my 18th or 19th birthday - and they were about $250-300 (maybe??). Let me tell you, I have more than got the money's worth out of them. They are playing on a very regular basis. At the moment I play one every morning before I go off to the stupid library to study so I can watch and listen as I get ready. Today it was the one with the Rain and Paperback Writer promos on it - is it number 5?? Anyway, there is just something so cute about George throughout both of those entire films (esp when he takes those dark glasses off and opens his eyes). And I love that wonderful interaction between John and Paul in the We Can Work It Out one...their facials make me laugh everytime!

But back to the topic....yeah I would love to have them on DVD too - but at the moment I would have to settle for playing them through the computer because I don't have a player except for the one on here! For now, my TV screen will do fine thank you!
