Re: hey!
Speaking Of Strawberry Fields, there's a scene in the Beatles First US visit where John is playing around with a new song. You can tell that he's hit upon a sequence of notes that intrigues him but he doesn't seem to know where to go with the rest of the tune. Keeping in mind that this is February of 1964, I felt very strange that I was watching him write what would later become Strawberry Field's Forever. At the time he was performing I Want to Hold Your Hand, She Loves You, and Twist and Shout, his mind had already started work on the song that would inaugurate the psychadelic Sgt Pepper era.

Re: hey!
The very first time I heard "A Day In The Life" I was kinda freaked out by that song, but then after that I loved that song as much as I love the other Beatles songs. I play it everyday.

Re: Beatle Songs That Give You Chills
For some reason, everytime I hear "The Long and Winding road" I feel like crying. Also "A Day in the life" is amazing. There's alot of other songs that give me chills. Im not gonna list them all though, you'll get tired of reading!

Re: Beatle Songs That Give You Chills
I think of "Long, Long, Long" "A Day In The Life" & "Julia" right away.
I listened to "Julia" a lot after Lennon died. In that song it feels like he is really reaching out to his Mum. Even though the lyrics are very brief on the page , when he sings it the sound of his voice is so haunting. It can really make me cry, so I listen to it in small doses now!

Re: Beatle Songs That Give You Chills
The song that gives me the chills is "You never give me your money" The whole song is so beautiful and filling but what really spooks me is when they chant "1,2,3,4,5,6,7 all good children go to heaven..."

Re: Beatle Songs That Give You Chills
I saw George Martin on TV once talking about Sgt. Pepper and he was sitting in front of a mixing desk and he played 'A Day In the Life' with everything turned down except Johns singing. I must say it brought a tear to my eye.
