Sadly, I can't help because I can't see the connection. Where did you hear this from?

Uh, what? Paco? I don't remember anyone with that name in the movie. Now I'm gonna go nuts watching the movie again looking for Paco. I have a feeling it's gonna be like "Where's Waldo".

I thought Paco was the guy who led that anti-war group that Lucy was in?

Yes, as far as I remember it's him. But I don't see any connection with the song at all, sorry.

George's stretchy voice, the linear and logical opposites narrative, the beatley and crunchy piano chords, the laid back sound there are many things that i find attractive here.

Yeah, I agree that it's a good song, but what's that got to do with the name Paco?

Yes, Paco was the guy that lead the anti-war group that Lucy was in. If you google "across the universe", the wikipedia site has listed a ton of information about this movie and actually lists the character names and the song that they have reference to. It lists Paco, played by Logan Marshall Green as being referenced to the Beatles song "Old Brown Shoe"???? I cant find the connection! I thought that this would be the place that somebody out there would know what the connection is or would be able to tell me what the correct song "Paco" is from???

Um, as far as I know, there is NO character by the name of Paco in any Beatles song, suggested or otherwise. Hope this clears things up.

I think it led to the fact that he's not a character in any Beatles song. Therefore no one is seeing a connection.

Does that Paco wear old brown shoes? That's the only connection I can think of (I haven't watched the film).
Paco is a Spanish diminutive for Francisco (I've never known whether that's Frank or Francis, or whatever), in case that sheds some light for someone (not for me).

Across the Universe...Paco?
Paco was the head of that sect group that Lucy consideration was behind the war. He was the guy that Jude thinking was cheating with her. He's seen when he brings the TV to their apartment building and again when Jude comes into her place of work and sings.

Well yeah. I think we were just trying to figure out if the name Paco had a Beatles connection since all the other main characters were named after characters from Beatles songs.
