Your Favourite Countries...and Why!
Italy - The best red wine I've ever tasted comes from here.
Croatia - The people and the beautiful scenery.
Holland - Father In Law lives there. Such a friendly, chilled out nation.

Mexico, specifically the Yucatan - love it among the pyramids, just swinging in a hammock in the jungle or by the beach.

Italy - I've never actually been there, but it seems to have everything. Great food, culture, history, scenery, mountains(in the north, by Switzerland and such), beaches, fashion, nightlife, a wonderful language, etc.

Canada - My current home. Plus, we aren't warmongers.
France - My future home. Wine, cheese, berets, and baguettes, need I say more? lol
Russia - Love the architecture, the history. A place I've always wanted to visit.

I cannot say I have a favorite country since I haven't been to any other countries other than Canada. I've always wanted to see the world, meaning every country in the world other than the countries that don't like Americans.
I have nothing against those countries that don't like Americans, they just don't realise that it isn't Americans that do the things that upset them, it's the the United States government which the American people have no control over and we Americans don't know everything which the United States government does.
Anyways back to the topic, I cannot truly pick a favorite country considering I believe that there has to be something beautiful about every country and every country comes from the greatest home in our entire Milky Way, the planet Earth.

I'm more of an internationalist, I like to think that there are merits in any place. The ugliest scenery and grimmest towns may be the homes of some of the most noble and wonderful people on earth, and vice versa.

I've loved almost every country I've ever been in, so I could have a very long list. The only place I haven't loved was France and I think that was more to do with the company I was with while I was there than the country itself.
I love the US. There is some unbelievable scenery here, the natural resources and the mountains out west, the lake just yards outside my door, the forests and the rolling hills. There's some unbelievable man-made scenery here too, especially architecture, both older and modern. But the main reason I love my country is the people and their diversity. Everybody has something to tell you, to teach you, from those in the small towns in the south to those in the big metropoli (if that's not the plural of "metropolis", it SHOULD be!). People are generally upbeat and enthusiastic and energetic (though I see more and more young people in that whole gloom/doom/whine whine whine mode lately) and if you work hard, there really IS no end to what you can accomplish. We don't really have social classes, we've incorporated traditions and customs from all over the world, which gives us all more richness and culture. I'm not a flag-waver or a patriot in the traditional sense, but I do love my country and the people in it.
I love England. I love the dry, often sarcastic wit which is usually masking the truly warm people inside. I love the accents, particularly on a nice-looking guy! I love the landscape, I love the history and the "oldness" of the place, while still having the modern conveniences. I love how everybody strips down and lies in the park the moment it gets over 65 degrees out. I love the creativity of the people, some of the most amazing musicians and writers and artists come from England. I've been there 10 times and I will be back. Always.
I love Germany. It's just gorgeous. And although the stereotype of Germans is that they're relatively stoic and stiff, the reality couldn't be further from that if it tried. Such wonderful, warm people. And such gorgeous scenery. And amazing cheese and chocolate, which works for me.
I love Canada. I must admit to not having seen as much of it as I'd like, but I have been to Toronto, Montreal, Quebec and a few other places and it's kind of like it is here, but a little more laid-back. Everybody I know who's from Canada is cool and has a really mellow vibe about them. I want to explore further.
I'll stop now.

Anywhere is home for me, but of course I have my preferences...
Britain - lived there (Norwich, Norfolk) and I will certainly return if I have my way; love the football, the people, the sights...
France - fell in love with the language and the music, ended up travelling across the place. I most definitely plan to return!
Lebanon - part of the family is from there, so it's home in a way. The people are amongst the kindest and funniest you'll ever meet.

Kyrgyzstan. Not really, I find it a funny country. I've actually never been outside of the U.S., strange being I've lived in Arizona for 14 years and not once have I been to Mexico. I imagine England, Germany and Sicily being nice and would like to visit those places some day.
