I suppose it was done as a kind of unique 'Never seen one of them before' things, but it's just so impracticle! Signed photos are much more asthetically pleasing and you can easily get a copy to hang up on the wall.

ahh...to hold the stapler signed by Ringo in my own hand...tis the most beautiful day...it is rather strange indeed. But none the less, a beautiful object!

you are the first person I have ever known of to call a stapler beautiful. It's a utiliatian object. It's the Beatle who used it that people find beautiful.
