76. The Beatles are the real deal and not some actors hiding under a weird wig
77. The Beatles were never on an inane sitcom
78. The Beatles were so much more appealing
79. The Beatles are timeless and cross all generations like Tony Bennett, who is another timeless talent
80. The Beatles at least got to ride in a Ford Falcon when they were in Australia in 1964
81. The Beatles were real muscians, not actors playing cliche roles
82. The Beatles didn't pretend to be what they were not
83. The Beatles did a myriad of songs about a myriad of things and were experimental. They weren't formulaic popsters whose range was limited to inanity and trivial topics
84. The Beatles were fresh and natural and were generally funny and not cardboard cutouts
85. The Beatles had sex appeal
86. The Queen is a Beatles' fan and we all know Her Majesty's a pretty nice girl

It really irks me when some new flavour of the month is hyped by the media and referred to as "the new Beatles", or compared to the Beatles. For a lot of these new teen sensations - HM, New Dimension etc, it's a case of here today, gone tomorrow. So please all you journos, think before you write.

I think we've outgrown that. I remember hearing the "next Beatles" and "next Bob Dylan" a lot when I was a kid. But now I think we realize just how ridiculous a comparison that is. The only real musical "mania" I've experienced was the Nirvana explosion back in '91. Even then, nobody made the comparison. It's been 42 yrs. There's still a vacancy. I don't see anyone filling it. Ever.

It still gets done though. Just recently 1 Direction have been referred to as the new beates when actually they couldn't be further from them. Even when those guys auditioned for X Factor they didn't even know each other and it was the judges that suggested they get together. Yeah. Just like the Beatles, that. A total mockery!

Exactly right Lucy, a mockery! But why do they (the media) do that? Just because a bunch of squealling teenagers, or more to the point - preteens, are out there creating a bit of noise. So what?? I really think the media needs to get over this and mature a bit.

Well for one thing, the Beatles kept their private lives private, and had talent. Nor did they prance around bragging how they enjoy being half naked. But it was a different era too.

That more than irks me too. Back in the Stupid Seventies there were people who claimed that Klaatu was the Beatles in disguise. Klaatu?! Come on, gang! Klaatu could not hold a candle to the Beatles and could not even light the damn match!

This sums it all up for me. No need to even think of comparing. The differences in talent and originality are abysmal

Maybe she has changed due to maturity, but for awhile Miley was tacky and trashy as hell! It is sad she threw her brief marriage in the garbage! Her husband seemed like a nice guy. BTW, I never saw Hannah Montana. I do like her song " Wrecking Ball" but that's it.
