Whats your fave band other than the Beatles?

I said Other, but of the ones on the list, I'd say Barenaked Ladies...

However -- my absolute second fave is (and has been for years) the Who.

Mine is the good old Rolling Stones.

"Other" is the category I voted for... another favorite band of mine's a German one, which probably pretty much no one's heard of :-) They started out as a school band, playing cover versions of Beatles songs (...their favorite album's the "White Album") and they're a good little rock band, IMHO. They're called "Echt" :-)

I count Wings as one of my favourite bands, but I voted for Other because I have soooo many (including some on the list including the Monkees and the Barenaked Ladiea)

My fave fave bAnd is the *good charlotte* and the beatles would have to fall behind them then after the beatles is =w= (weezer) so umm i dont kno how to put this after the beatles is weezer but before then is *good chrlotte*

To be honest, since I started listening to the Beatles at the beginning of this year, I haven't really had another favorite band yet. I'm just waiting to discover another band I'll love. [img]images/icons/wink.gif[/img]

I voted "other"~~~ for, mostly, the Wilbury's! (Actually, I like them more than even the Fabs...more Georgie)...but then next would be the good ol' Grateful Dead!!

You know, my favorite band outside of the Beatles are the Velvet Underground. However, I chose the Rolling Stones on this poll because I love them. But I also ADORE the Who. In fact, all three bands have albums in my personal top ten albums of all time list. [img]images/icons/smile.gif[/img]

But the Velvets...actually, I probably like them equally to the Beatles at times. I LOVE them. I'm a massive, massive Velvet Underground fan. I'm probably one of the few people who melted when I heard Lou Reed at the John Lennon Tribute concert...I think everyone else was like, "what the heck is this old guy who can't sing doing ruining one of John's songs..." But I loved it. I'm used to him, of course. [img]images/icons/wink.gif[/img]

I voted for the Barenaked Ladies, but if they hadn't been there I probably would've voted for the Spice Girls lol! I went through a phase a few years ago when they were really popular and my friends and I used to act out their music videos and we bought all their cds and movies. It makes me laugh now tho when I think about they're songs and compare it to the Beatles' music. I'm glad I've finally found my true love tho [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img]

i'm a big proponant for waking people up to Indie Rock, i.e., music not played on any radio stations except good college ones.

my fave band other than the beatles is Yo La Tengo. no, they are not spanish or mexican...they're from new jersey. they make beautiful songs out of sparing keyboards, noisy guitar feedback, and sad vocals. or, they are also an alt-country band. one of the most critically acclaimed bands since the 80s.

then it's The White Stripes. i also love Bjork. Radiohead have their moments. Sleater-Kinney is the only good "punk" band out there today. Guided By Voices are very Beatles-derivitive and therefore good. The Flaming Lips are the most creative band around.

give these bands a shot--i promise you'll love at least one. you might just be pleasantly surprised!
