Me, myself and I, aka Mike Kovacich MACCA-Central creator have been in recent contact with good old Geoff Baker. I had a chance to clarify a few items with the longtime and now former publicist of Paul McCartney. That's funny, I wrote that and I''ve been always critical of the press saying "former Beatle Paul McCartney. Oh well back to my thought. Some fan mail-lists, sites & newsgroups seem to be speculating or claiming knowledge about the content of the yet to be released book being writen by Mr. Baker. There have also been several newspaper articles some reputable papers trying to sort out the facts and the tabloids mixing facts and myths as usual. (see Daily Mail excerpt below).
I asked him directy on the accuracy of reports that this book is about "revenge" as being claimed by some. He simply said there is no revenge and assures me that even though the book is in an unfinished state, it is "NOT about Paul, I don't do tell-all. That was never and will never be my style. Not even tell-a-bit."
This is absolutely consistent to what he has told me ever since I've known him, which is almost eight years now. With reference to what Paul was to have said in the recent Daily Mail article, he did not want to comment on that. This is NOT from any unnamed or 3rd party source. The source is with Geoff directly. Now this will not satisfy the people who dislike Geoff just the same that whatever Heather does or says will not satifly the people who dislike her. However this should clarify a few facts that have been distorted.

He also attacked his former publicist Geoff Baker who, it has been reported, was sacked at Heather's behest.
"The actual truth, which I had been trying to spare him the embarrassment of going public with, was that he had gradually been getting more and more unstable over the past few years," said Sir Paul.
"I tried to let him down gently but it was my decision alone to let him go as I didn't want that kind of instability around me. It was nothing whatsoever to do with Heather."
Yesterday Baker responded to the allegation, saying: "If I'm unstable that might be because somebody had driven me to that."
Making reference to the continuing ill-feeling between McCartney and John Lennon's widow Yoko Ono, he added: "I don't want to say any more because I have no intention of becoming Paul's new Yoko."
The former journalist could, however, have the last word. Sources close to Baker revealed that a novel he started writing after his sacking is about a journalist and PR man dealing with celebrities.
Titled You Probably Think This Book Is About You, in an echo of the lyrics to the Carly Simon song You're So Vain, it is already the subject of a bidding war between three publishing companies.
