Oh, LOL, I love misheard lyrics too! I have a couple myself, but they don't belong in a Beatles forum. LOL. They're other people's songs.

But if I come across any good ones, I'll post em!

Hello again Freda_Peeple, *

You forgot 'the girl with kaleidoscope eyes' being misheard as 'the girl with colitis goes by'...

LOL, I never realized so many lyrics had been misread! I'm guilty of the 'Eleanor Rigby' one, but fortunately I didn't have problems with any of the others.

I adore that one, "The girl with colitis goes by," and I am pretty sure that if he had ever heard that, John would wish he HAD written the lyric that way. It's too funny!

I misheard a few Beatles lyrics myself, especially in the Ballad of John and Yoko. I'd only heard it a few times, so I would just make up random lyrics, too.

Thanks for posting that Freda_Peeple! I love misheard lyrics! Though I cannot think of any (especially Beatles songs) that I have been guilty of mishearing, it's a great "larf" to read of other's experiences! One of my favorites, though not a Beatles song, are the lyrics of CCR's Bad Moon Rising being heard, not as, "there's a bad moon on the rise", but "there's a bathroom on the right". That one cracks me up every time, and I have never been able to listen to that song the same way again! Anyway...Till later, peace! (Oh--and thanks onosideboards for posting a link to that site, that was fun!)

Here are a few:

Norwegian Wood
"I sat on a rug, biting my tie."

She's a Woman
"I know that she's no pheasant."

Oh, now I remember one of my ridiculous ones...

In I Am the Walrus, after the bit about element'ry penguins, I thought he said "Man, you should have seen the kink in Edgar Allan Poe," instaed of "kicking Edgar Allan Poe."

And in Norwegian Wood, I thought it was "biting my tongue, drinking her rum." At least I got that it was alcohol.
