Alright I can afford it!

My original idea for the cover was better, decapitate Paul, but he wouldn't go along with it

I hope it's bound well or else it will be quite flimsy.

Do you think it'll have the same dimensions? It would be nice if they made it a little smaller. The hardcover is a bit...unwieldy.

It would be nice it it were smaller, and lighter as well. If I rested the book for too long on my lap my legs would lose blood flow.

Well, generally speaking, paperback versions of what are normally termed coffee-table sized books are about 8"-9" tall, and a great deal thicker. The publishers tend to use smaller fonts, also. The overall weight of the book is lessened a great deal, but the handleability loses a lot in the translation. (Extremely thick paperbacks simply refuse to stay open to any one page...)

Yay that is great! I had to leave my one at home because it weighs so much and there was no way that it would have made it all the way here with all the stuff I had with me. All those beautiful pictures and stories waiting to be looked at lonely in my bedroom. It makes me sad
I can't wait to get my hands on the paperback version!!

Not so quick, Lucy! I haven't actually seen the paperback version (don't think it's out yet, is it?). They could go for the larger size. I would be willing to bet, though, that the paper itself will not be the near-card stock used in the hard-back, coffee-table sized one we all are familiar with. That, in itself, will bring the weight of the book down drastically.

For those of you who have a Walden books near you, I saw that they had a couple of Anthology books (hardback) in their bargain area going for about $35. Its been my experience that the chain bookstores generally have the same things in the bargain areas so you might want to go pick one up being that its going for about the same price as the upcoming paperback.

Get the hardcover. Make sure you have the Anthology in its entirety.

If I didn't already own it I'd buy the hardcover if it now costs the same as the paperback will. Hardcovers usually keep better unless the publisher saves money for themaselves by binding things poorly.

The Anthology in hardcover is quite a heavy book, but in my opinion its a rewarded burden!

Its great that it will be more affordable now, but I wonder how such a thick book can really be produced in paperback some how
