Thank you, Sandra, for posting the heads-up about Rooftop Sessions while I was away. Here's the actual monthly announcement!
Well, another month and another new issue of ROOFTOP SESSIONS, the monthly e-zine featuring the finest in Beatles-related fiction! We have a full issue for you this month, including two stories by brand-new authors, one of which is a Contest Winner!
Some housekeeping announcements, first:
The ROOFTOP SESSIONS FICTION DIGEST Volume Two was reviewed in the latest issue of Beatlefan Magazine. You can order this fine volume of stories directly from the Rooftop Sessions website -- please see the box at the top of the page for ordering information. For those of you who will be attending the Chicago Beatlefest in August, you may also buy this book (plus Volume One, which is available in limited quantities) directly from us at the Rooftop Sessions table! Be sure to look at your schedules for the time and place of our Fan Fiction Discussion Panels! Rooftop Sessions authors James Ryan, Mary Spollen and Sandra Ulbrich will be participating as well. We are looking forward to seeing you there!
Please be sure to check out our new links to the Amazon Beatles Store, AllPosters.com and the Rooftop Sessions Online Store -- you can order all kinds of wonderful merchandise and help support your favorite fan fiction site in the process!
And now, we proudly present our offerings for July:
"Getting Back" by Eric Hermanson
- The Beatles' last performances are attended by a fugitive from the future, and the bounty hunter who is after him.
"Impressions - Part 2"
by C.A. Jones - John makes a serious move to prove to Sharon that he's no mere boy...
"Party On, George!" by Cheryl Mortensen
- George really isn't very good in the kitchen...as he discovers when he tries to make a dish to take to a birthday party and chaos ensues!
"Shelly and the Beach Bum - Part 6" by Mary Spollen
- Shelly is revealed to be The Chosen One, the living fulfillment of an Island prophecy -- but it is unclear WHAT she is chosen for, and by whom!
"She's Got A Ticket" by Elizabeth Darcy
- CONTEST WINNER - GENERAL CATEGORY! - Holly will do nearly anything to meet the Beatles, so when she quite literally "steals" her way onto the same train from Los Angeles to San Francisco, she's in for some interesting surprises!
Also be sure to check out the links page, which directs you to other fabulous Beatles-related sites, and our two archive pages, for past stories and articles from our Write Thinking section.
As usual, the URL is http://www.rooftopsessions.com,
and as usual there are email links at the end of each story for the authors. Please don't be shy about contacting them -- they love to know what you think of their work! And don't forget our Guest Book, where you can leave messages telling us what you think!
Enjoy the July issue -- and Happy Independence Day to all our American readers!
