In the US, at the 1990 "Billboard" Awards, Paul is awarded for the highest grossing concert act in the US for the year.

George and Eric Clapton perform in concert at Osaka Castle Hall, Osaka ("Tour Of Japan").

In the US, the CBS TV program "Entertainment Tonight" features a report on George's law suit against "The Globe".

In London, the exhibition by Bob Whittaker, accompaning his book "The Unseen Beatles", is on display at the Photographer's Gallery in Great Newport Gallery.

Paul and George have a brief meeting in California.

The Paramount Television program "Entertainment Tonight" airs a feature on George.

At the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York, Paul returns to the studio the Beatles performed at back in 1964. Paul and his band record a concert appearance for the MTV music series "Up Close".

At the Museum of Modern Art in Oxford, Yoko's art exhibition "Have You Seen The Horizon Lately" is on display.

At Christie's auction in London, a reel-to-reel tape recording of the Beatles' sound check, from August 21, 1963, sells for £25,300. Also sold for £5,195, was a set of autographs of five Beatles, John, Paul, George, Pete Best, and Stuart Sutcliffe.

2000

2005
The Beatles are listed as the fourth most successful act of all time in the UK, spending 1,749 weeks on the British singles and album charts. Paul is listed 20th and John is 66th.

2007
Led Zeppelin played their first concert in 19 years, at London's 02 Arena as part of the Ahmet Ertegun Tribute Concert. Original band members Jimmy Page, Robert Plant and John Paul Jones were joined on stage by Jason Bonham, the son of their late drummer John Bonham. A number of celebrities attended the gig including Paul McCartney, Jeff Beck, Brian May, Dave Grohl, David Gilmour, The Edge, Peter Gabriel and Mick Jagger.

2009

In an interview with Q magazine, Paul McCartney was asked if his marriage to Heather Mills was the worst mistake of his life. He replied "OK, yeah. I suppose that has to be the prime contender." The divorce settlement had cost McCartney £24m ($38.9m), plus annual payments for his daughter, Beatrice.

2011
A copy of the Beatles' "Love Me Do" 1962 Demonstration Record sold for $17,339.31 during a 10-day eBay auction.
