I noticed he still does the old live arangement for "Human Nature" with the many breaks. I didn't like it on the last past tours, but he does sing the song very well during these rehearsals. Anyway it's a wonderfull song and another highlight, but I could list almost every moment here.
I heard that there was some extra footage at the end of This Is It after the credits. I missed it!! :(

We are each entitled to our own opinions, I think Michael was a good singer but not imho, the best singer of all time, too many greats came before him!

You're right, a similar arrangement... cute little growl "I like loving this way..." and his "why's" are positively dreamy.
Thanks for letting know. Lots of people left during the end credits.
I was trying to convince some of them to stay, but they left anyway.
LOL! I can imagine you blocking the door!

Such a creative work up of the song. Loved too how Michael had his ideas about when the song should que... Michael Beardon[to Kenny Ortega]: "We're simmering..." And MJ: "I'll feel it"... and when he cues it... and they have the silouette? Amazing! Michael's dancing here is so excellent... love so much his fancy shoulder work in this song. His dancing was just better than ever.

"Billy Jean" just amazing.
I've watched Earth Song so much more since seeing the movie. It was so so special. Like what one of the crew said... that Michael draws from a deeper emotion than any other artist he has ever worked with. This so comes through in Earth Song, I think.
And yes! Billy Jean.... :) :) "at least we got a feel for it..."
So glad you enjoyed it! Really nice to hear people's impressions. :)

It was utterly amazing. The clips from Thriller and Earth Song were from the last day he was with us? I thought that the one from They Don't Care About Us was, too. I was trying to hold back tears throughout the whole movie!!! During Man in the Mirror, I almost lost it!!!!
LOVED the Jackson 5 stuff. Would have been WAY cool if his brothers would have been there to do it with him. But I loved that he was gonna say, "Jackie, Tito, Marlon, Jermaine, Randy, I love you," during the break in I'll Be There. Ohmygoodness!!! Have you seen the interview with Jermaine, Jackie and Marlon after they saw the movie? Jackie couldn't go on at times...
I'm not sure if I can go and see it again. It would have to be next week if anything. I'm gone this next weekend. If I can't make it, I'll be eagerly awaiting the DVD! Hopefully I'll get it on my birthday!
I LOVED: "More booty on that...That's funny."

Here's a demo version of "The Girl Is Mine." A favorite! Except Paul's not singing in it... :(

They don't care about us was from the 23rd of June.....Thriller and Earth song were the 24th so the very last night.
Sigh.
I'm thinking I might go off this evening and see a late screening of it. I just keep thinking about it!

Wow.
Earth Song was so beautiful, I just wanted to cry anyway! Now I think I'll cry on both of those when I see it again!!

Aww..This makes me cry... Thanks so much for posting this... (((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))) ..the part about if the fans were happy he would be happy? ... he is so sweet beyond words?...
Thriller and Earth Song stood out, even before knowing they were the last ones. I felt he was so connected to the music, deeply connected, during those songs. He looked so comfy. And how he said he was ready, according to Kenny Ortega, at the end of the night... he was ready to go for it.
It's so hard to lose someone who has had a tough time of things, when finally fate seems to be smiling on them, and then they are gone. It happened to John, too. He finally was having his comeback... his personal life seemed happy. George seemed to be doing better, when he had that terrible thing which set his health back. George said ATMP reissue was "just the beginning" and how he felt he was ready to really do heaps of things musically.
If it was truly Michael's time to go ... thanks to Kenny Ortega and all those involved in This Is It.... at least lots of people will meet (as the ad says) "the man they never knew." I think finally Michael is more loved and more understood. I think his message of love has been heard. I think in generations to come he will be set apart from all others as someone beyond just a great entertainer. I think he was a huge example of talent, but also of composure, dignity, intelligence, passion, spirituality... I think he will be honored more and more as generations pass. I think his message of love will snowball.
What a pity if he had been called home without the general public getting to see and know how the media lied and manipulated Michael's public image so much. At least this movie sets the record straight for people who did not really know much about him. So much of who he is/was comes out in the movie.
I try to remember Michael is still part of this creation. He was here in body for a period, but he is still so much here in spirit. I think he'd want us to dance and love one another and heal the planet.. take care of kids... and reach our potentials. He said that the worst sin he sees is when people do not make the most of their God given talents. So he left us with a lot in the way of goals... maybe that is why God loaned him to us? Maybe he is the reminder through his words, but also by his example... remaining dignified and focused in spite of all he went through. He gave us so much on so many levels. Love him so, so much.

Lorraine, as always I love your posts. You really do have a Hari
I saw "This is It" on November 1. I was impressed with the sheer genius of the choreography and no doubt an MJ performance was an experience of a lifetime.
When he thanked his brothers who were in the J5, he also thanked Katherine, but did he omit Joseph? It seems like he did.
While I was never a J5, Jacksons or MJ fan, I loved the dancing and the choreography. I was also impressed with MJ's humble demeanor with the people he worked with. I like the way he talked to them with respect and feel that speaks to good.

BB, he DID say Joseph and Katherine. I LOVED that part, too! If he had said Rebbie, LaToya and Janet (and Brandon), along with his J5 brothers, that would have been a totally AWESOME moment! He thanked both of his parents on every single album that he released and said "I love you."
He was extremely different from everyone else on the planet. I wish I could be that humble!!!
