Did They Meet ?
Here's an idea for a Beatles parlor game. Name 2 prominent people from different times in Beatles history and try to ascertain if they ever met. For example : Brian Epstein and Linda Eastman. Since she was invited to the Sgt. Pepper release party at his home it is probable that the Did meet.
What about Patti Boyd and Olivia Harrison. Cynthia Lennon and Allen Klein.
Denny Laine and John Lennon. Yoko Ono and Jane Asher. Etc......

Patti and Olivia did meet They were both sitting together when George Jammed at the Carl Perkins tribute, and I also believe Olivia along with george attended the Eric and patti wedding together. Not 100% sure about the latter, But I believe that to be correct.

Denny Laine was in the Moody Blues in the sixties and played on the same bill with the Beatles, So I would Imagine that he did indeed meet john in those days as all those bands tended to hang with each other.

I believe that Linda Eastman was present at the final "All You Need is Love" sessions doing photos, and that she and Paul chatted at that time. So I think she easily could have met Brian Epstein, who was present at that event as well.

Not 100% sure, But I think Linda was back in the U.S. at the time of those sessions. She was obviously around for the Sgt Pepper launch, which was in may, but I think the next time she and Paul really spent time together was when him and John were launching Apple in the states in May of '68. I don't remember ever reading about her at the All You Need Is Love sessions, but then again, I wasn't there :D

Fun game!
Can't answer any of your queries (except for the Linda and Brian one). I doubt Jane Asher ever met Yoko while she was with Paul, though... she was in America when John and Yoko hooked up and when she returned, well... the famous Francie Schwartz incident occurred. I think if the two ever did meet, it was probably some charity thing in the last 20 years.
Did Aunt Mimi ever meet Jim McCartney? You'd think they would have known each other, but I've never read anything that said they did. Too bad Mimi was such a hard-nose... maybe she and Jim could've hooked up!

I'd imagine that Linda did meet Brian. Linda was present for the Sgt. Pepper launch party. The party was hosted by Brian on May 19, 1967. There are photos of her (Linda) chatting with Paul from the party. I also do believe that the famous thumbs up photo of the lads holding the lp was taken by Linda. Dezo Hoffman snapped photos along with Linda Eastman that evening. I'm sure someone here can find the photos I am talking about and post them! I guess I should learn how to do it!

OK, I think I was wrong about the occasion. The folks who are saying the Sgt. Pepper's launch are right. Sorry 'bout that. I knew it was somewhere in the early summer of '67 anyway.

Ok, Danny Fields claims that Linda met Brian in New York before she ever met Paul at the Bag o' Nails. I dunno if he could be called a reliable source, but here's the story: http://www.wingspan.ru/bookseng/linda/05.html
So, what about Mimi and Jim? Anybody know about a party they were both at or something? What about Ivan Vaughan and George Martin? Or, better yet, Mimi and George Martin? Did they ever meet? (I think Mimi is such a fascinating character! Did you ever see this video? She trips me out!)

I just realized the question I responded to was did Linda meet Brian. I guess I got distracted when I read Linda was at the All You Need Is Love broadcast!

Not sure about Jim and Mimi though it sounds probable.
One thing is sure.Jim McCartney bought a piano from Harry Epstein's shop so I imagine he probably met Brian as a small boy!
Anybody thought of the possibility that Mary McCartney may have visited another Beatle family home when she was a peripatetic midwife?

Denny Laine and the Diplomats opened for the Beatles on July 5, 1963... so he probably did meet John Lennon. Click here for Bev Bevan's blog for more info.

Ahhhhh, but she wasn't such a hard nose - not when it came to affairs of the heart anyway. Don't forget she had that long running thing with that young dude that used to lodge with her!
I'm trying hard but I can't think of a possible meeting between 2 people to wonder about! this is tough!

Harold Sr. and Starkey Sr. I doubt these gentlemen ever met.
For years I have thought Starkey Sr. would have done well to take a page from Harold Sr.'s book.
Louise & Harold Sr. and George Martin. You wonder maybe if they crossed paths?

HOW cool would it be if Mary McCartney delivered John/Ringo/George?? :D
I assume George would have known Mary? I've never heard any of them talk about Mary's death... not as in depth as Julia's.
I'm interested in Aunt Mimi as well.
I'd love to know how well she knew people like Jim McCartney/Louise Harrison/George Martin.

I would think so because Ringo sat in with the band. Was he sitting in this early? I would have to do some research on that one.
