Quality Bras
Oprah has had several shows about being properly fitted for bras. She likes Wacoal, an expensive bra and Le Mystere, another high price bra.
Some bra facts:
Wacoal is a Japan-based company and their bras are made of Japanese threads, reported to be the strongest in creation. Whenever they create a new bra, models wear the new styles for 6 months; give feedback and if they feel changes need to be made, the bra is made to specifications. Once the bra style passes the 6 month "model test," it is then ready to be sold.
Le Mystere is a well respected bra. Women either love it or hate it. Le Mystere makes many stiff bras that are smooth and nothing is ever revealed. They go up to a G-cup and the bustier tend to like this particular bra. Le Mystere also makes pretty lacy bras. Le Mystere is famous for their firm support.
Chantelle is my personal favorite. Chantelle is a reputable bra manufacturer that has been in business since 1876. They started out as a harness making company, but veered off into lingerie. Chantelle bras are made according to French standards. There is a very pretty Chantelle bra that is made of strong French netting; it offers maximum support. Chantelle offers an attractive line of bras without compromising support.
This is on the heels of following up on Oprah's show - my findings.

I recently bought a Very Sexy pushup bra from Vistoria's Secret. It's great! I look a whole cup size bigger! Being a small B, I've never really had to worry much about support, so I don't know if it supports well or not (I tend to think not) but I'm super happy with it. Best of all, it only cost about $50.

"Behind every beautiful thing there's been some kind of pain" --- I couldn't help but point out the irony behind LL's current signature. Hey..Do you know what Victoria's secret is? Women over 30 can't fit into her bras!
Yes, Walcoal makes a very good bra. Not quite in my budget to fork out 50 bucks for a bra, but I have worn them before in the past. Being a larger cup size kind of woman, it really is difficult to find a good support bra. I'd kill to be a C again. Although, Blackguard would be a bit sad if that happened.

What I want to know is why in the world do they make so many size 34 DD bras padded? Please. If you wear a 34 DD, you have ENOUGH padding, you don't want MORE!
My favorite "pretty" brand is Felina. They're not ridiculously expensive and they look great, but they don't last very long because they're not made from particularly sturdy fabrics.
I buy most of mine at places like TJ Maxx and Marshalls ~ there you can get really nice brand names for WAY less than you'd spend in the department stores. I can often find everyday Warners and Bali's there for $7.99!

For once, I will refrain from posting a picture.

Wondered the exact same thing many, many times. Even smaller than that (for me) I don't want more padding. Every time I go shopping for bras I just want a regular bra. No lace, no padding, nothing too flashy. I mean, if it's not going to be seen, you don't need it to be like that right? Just as long as it does its job, I'm happy.

Yeah, really! I'm the same size as you nearly (just a 38 instead of a 34) and I know EXACTLY what you mean! Sure,I like some padding to give it more a shape but too much looks very very very over whelming!

You busty gals suck. If you knew the torture that went with being a 34 B (and I'm really a 32, they're just kind of hard to find) you would not be complaining. I'm sooooooo jealous of y'all.
I've been "padding" (ha ha) my underthings wardrobe because I'm getting married June 2 and I want to feel sexy for my new husband. It's expensive, but at least I'll feel good about myself when I get into bed next to him.

OMG, to me there is not a bra out there that I like, I cannot stand stays, too much like torture to me, I have not tried Wacoal, or the other mentioned by BB1964, but I have been through several Playtex, Bali's etc, all the name brands in most of the high end dept; stores and cannot find one that I am comfortable in for more 4 hours, I like the idea of the gel straps but they make them too wide for scoop neck tops, if the underband does not have tremendous stretchy give, I feel like I am being trussed, to much give and it rides up or flips up, I think I will never find my perfect bra, I have tons of them, I try them on in the store bring them home, then I stuff them away in a drawer because I hate them!!! Sure wish I had the money for a custom made bra I hate them all!

I find it soooooo hard to get good bras. All the pretty ones are all very well if you are wearing them without anything over the top but as soon as you put a shirt or something on, all the lacey bits look like lots of little nipples and people stare at me!
I recently got a T-shirt bra from Marks and Spencer in that hideous skin tone colour and it is actually quite a good one. I have a fave that I bought in NZ when I was there last year and I have worn it so much it is falling apart now.
I have some sexy temptress bras that expose my girls in all their glory but I like it better when they look smaller!
My friend bullied me in to buying a couple of those bras with gel bits in them because I lost some weight a few years ago and my bust really suffered so she said it would be like an implant on the outside....well BIG MISTAKE. I look like Jordan in those ones.

Hee hee. The grass is always greener on the other side. Being busty is a pain because I can't wear any of those cute little tops or spaghetti strapped/halter dresses. Empire waist tops or dresses look like maternity clothes. And I have permanent grooves in the top of my shoulders from bra straps. And if you wear a snug T-shirt, you're just wearing a snug T-shirt, if I wear a snug T-shirt, people think I'm "advertising". I't not all it's cracked up to be.
Oh back to bras, I've learned. Don't buy them from Target.

I am a size 34 A and I wear the seamless underwire bras. I love how they look under tight sweaters and t-shirts. You don't see any of the bra straps or lines. I once tried padded bras, but they looked like cones.
Although at the end of the day, it feels good to take it off.

That's true. I hadn't thought about that, I s'pose, but I still wish I had a (natural) massive pair.

I'd be happy just find one where the the straps don't slip down every 5 minutes.
