I'd like to think he'd get a kick out of the younger fans drooling over him.

When I saw that picture of Harold, Sr. and George
together, I naturally thought, "What beautiful wavy
hair! And George had nice hair too!" I guess you
could say George was a wave off the old strand.

The Concert for Bangla Desh DVD is so awesome (and I try not to use that word often) when you view it as a part of musical history. I remember how important a show that became not only for the music but for the fact musicians started using their celebrity to further humanitarian causes. Also, I think besides Dylan, Billy Preston stole the show when he got up and danced across the stage, the smile on George's face makes me feel I'm a part of that event even all these years later. a-w-e-s-o-m-e !

I just finished watching the Concert for George properly (meaning, all the way though and really appreciating every moment), and I have to say it had a tremendously strong impact on me. It was such a beautiful and moving tribute...The pervading mood of the concert was reflective of George himself : very positive, spiritual, and laid-back. It was so obvious that everyone present (both on stage and in the audience) was there out of love and respect for him. To see what he imparted to those around him goes to show what an exceptional man he was.

I agree, watched CFG over the weekend and ended up watching it all the way through, yes it was very positive, spiritual, laid-back, the Python tribute was great too. Was very fascinated by the Indian music section, Ravi's daughter plays brilliantly and with such virtuosity. It was nice Eric was able to share his feelings of love for George, I remember he was kind of silent about the subject when George passed away so it was great to see him there paying tribute.

I loved CFG. I have to say it's the best tribute I've ever seen.

Agree with all that has been said about CFG
That moment in it where the camera is on the picture of George above the stage, then cuts to Dhani, and they look SO much the same, it's almost scary ...

I just saw a very grainy video on You Tube of George's song Ding Dong, very Python-ish, funny!
Does anybody know if this is on the Dark Horse Years dvd?

"Here Comes the Sun" came on the radio when I was driving home yesterday and I suddenly thought "You know, if he never wrote anything else other than this song, he should still be remembered.

No it's not unfortunately. I'm not sure that a good copy of that video exists, I've seen it on various videos and dvds and it's always the same grainy, wobbly copy.

George said he'd always hoped people would find a place
in their hearts for the Fabs. I think George made a wish
that has been realized - he'll always have a place in the
hearts of countless many.
"Here Comes the Sun" is often used by my church. I was
pleasantly surprised at the number of serious Hari fans at
my church. Interesting, too...it's the Catholic church. I
was so delighted when I read many years ago that George
was baptized Catholic...when I was a child, I just loved
that. And now the Tuesday Night Prayer Group recognizes
some of George's solo songs as beautiful prayers set to
music. One of my personal favorites is Dear One.
