Default Lennon and Hendrix?

I searched for John Lennon on Kazaa and found some interesting downloads. The first is a cover version of Daytripper. It says its live from 1967 and its John and Jimi playing it. The second one is Are You Experienced? It says the artists are Jimi Hendrix and John Lennon. I dont know if John played on these or if someone just doesnt know their music. So please send me any info on it. Also you should download the version of Daytripper It sounds great!

This comes up from time to time, the answer has always been and still is, no it's not Jimmy together with John. Might still be a great version tho but John isn't on it.

I downloaded a version on Kazaa (I don't d/l anymore...) that said "Daytripper" by the BEATLES and Jimi. It sounded like Jimi and maybe a little bit of Paul, but you can't be too sure

It's actually Noel Redding, Jimi's bassplayer. He, just as Mitch Mitchell was English, which explains the fact that he might've sounded a bit (to some people) like John, on the Day Tripper recording.

Thanks for the additional info Winston1976. Hope it finally lays to rest the "John with Jimmy" rumours, well at least till this topic drifts away and the question will be asked again withing a year or so.
Anyone can put anything on the internet and put any name to it.

I got this version of "Day Tripper" on a vinyl Lennon Bootleg in 1980 and always felt that it was bad info.

I got a bootleg of this years ago, and I tell ya, it's....how ya say it? RAW. It's been a long time since I've listened to it,but if I remember correctly you basically hear Morrison bellowing like a drunken wounded bull and going on about Hendrix and genitalia ( as in Jimi doing something with Jim's uh....)...it ain't pretty! As for the Lennon Hendrix thing, I'm not too sure about that one... I've tried downloading it a few times and usually get an incomplete file.
