suggest some Ringo tunes
Haven't been listening to much Ringo music lately and maybe I should. What 5 or so Ringo songs would you suggest?

I would suggest have a listen to his Y Not album. It's absolutely one of his better ones. I know that's more than five songs but none is really awful. I rank most songs as good to excellent. In fact, this album is such you don't have to be into Ringo to like it!

There's a lot of stuff from earlier albums being suggested so I've gone for some of his later tunes:
"Don't Go Where the Road Don't Go"
"Runaways"
"Mindfield"
"King of Broken Hearts"
"Write One for Me"

I gotta be brutally honest, not sure how anyone can listen to his music. If it wasn't written for him, it sounds pretty plain, sort of like his voice, but hey, more power to him.

I guess it depends on how much of his back catalogue you've heard.
I have all his CDs (live and studio) and there is some great stuff there but there are also tracks that I'm less keen on.

Blindman
Sentimental Journey (the full album)
Beaucoups of Blues (the full album)
Don't Pass Me By
I know you would like just tracks but those two albums are two of his best!

You can't go wrong with his self titled 1973 album. All the other ex Beatles contributed significantly.......Particularly George with what I consider strong material........
This is a very strong album, and it' for a reason it went platinum......
All other 3 ex Beatles made albums that don't stack up with this one......

I was listening to Ringo Rama in the car last night - still a very under-rated album.
